HUMAN RIGHTS ARE IMPORTANT why you may ask?

Well in case you didn’t know

Human rights are the basic rights to all, no matter your place of residence, sex, national or
ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. Roosevelt, Yousafzai, and King
have all took a stand to their human rights and not only for themselves but for people who were
unable to speak for themselves.
Roosevelt purpose of this speech is to convince the UN To adopt The UDHR. Roosevelt
uses Pathos and imagery to bring across her proposal. In the text it states “we stand today at
the threshold”. Roosevelt allows her audience to picture a new beginning and makes the UDHR
look like the fresh start to a betterment. Roosevelt also uses pesos to help her stands, in the
text it states “ the realization that the flagrant violation of Human Rights by Nazi and fascist
countries”. Roosevelt allows us to feel bad about the actions that were morally incorrect and
how we shouldn't make the same errors.
Malala Yousafzai spoke for “those Without a voice can be heard” like many girls without
education. Yousafzai pathos in paragraph 6, “ on the left side of my forehead. They shot my
friends too.” Yousafzai advances her purpose using pathos because her audience has
compassion and knows what the Taliban is capable of doing. Yousafzai also uses repetition in
paragraph 5 what she said “ Their right” She makes a clear those without a voice have a right.
In this portion of the text, King's central claim is MLK needs to be in Birmingham . In
order to support this claim, King gives several reasons. The first reason he offers is I am here
because I have organizational ties here. This reason supports the claim because he actually
needs to be there since he was work that needs to be done. The evidence King uses to support
this reason uses ethos when he states, "I have the honor of serving as president Southern
Christian Leadership Conference, an organization operating in every southern state. " This
evidence would appeal to the clergymen by appealing to their sense of credibility since MLK is a
president of a Christian leadership group. The second reason he offers is I am in Birmingham
because injustice is here. This reason supports the claim because MLK needs to end the
injustice. The evidence King uses to support this reason uses pathos when he states, "Like
Paul, I must constantly respond the Macedonian. " This evidence would appeal to the
clergymen by appealing to their sense of emotion because the Clergymen have an attachment
to the Bible. The last reason he offers is I am cognizant of . This reason supports the claim
because pathos.
In conclusion, our society has improved because of people like Roosevelt, Yousafzai,
and King and without these important people who helped shape our society we would be in a
world were African Americans are seen as inferior, where girls wouldn’t have an education and
women would not have equal rights.
