NAPA Loading Computer for Effective Planning
NAPA Loading Computer covers a wide range of
calculations related to hydrostatics, ship stability and
strength, such as:
Calculation of deadweight and displacement
Free surface moments
Calculation of floating position
GZ-curve, including heeling moments
Bending moment and shear force
Weight and buoyancy distribution
The ship-specific versions of NAPA Loading Computer
encompass special functions relevant for each ship type.
Plan Operations Efficiently and
Economically
NAPA Loading Computer is easy to use: user operations,
such as defining and editing loads, can be done in several
ways. Compliance with the relevant intact and damage
stability regulations for the actual loading conditions
can be checked automatically. All changes in the loading
conditions can be simulated quickly in order to provide
sufficient stability and to find the most optimum floating
position at all times.

NAPA OptiFloat
NAPA OptiFloat is an add-on tool to the NAPA Loading
Computer. It provides the deck officers with an easy and
safe way of obtaining the optimal trim for the vessel with
respect to fuel consumption.
NAPA OptiFloat is based on trim curves obtainable from
towing tank tests or CFD analysis of the hullform.
Integrating the optimal floating position in the Loading
Computer with the functions for planning and calculating
the safe loading of the vessel, will result in safe and energy
efficient loading conditions, allowing for substantial fuel
savings for the operator.
Damage Stability and Decision Support
NAPA Loading Computer can be relied on to produce
accurate and reliable calculation results, as it utilizes a
real 3D model of a ship in all calculations. A 3D model is a
basic requirement for fast and accurate damage stability
calculations.
When applicable, NAPA Loading Computer provides fast
direct damage stability calculation and analysis according
to MARPOL IBC, IGC (L5 type 3 for tanker-type vessels).
It also encompasses the free definition and calculation
of any arbitrary damage case based on the ship’s active
loading condition, not forgetting the possibility of
performing grounding assessment with ground reaction
forces and enabling the user to simulate countermeasures
to get the vessel free floating again.

NAPA Voyage Optimization
NAPA Voyage Optimization is an easy-to-use, complete
solution for reducing fuel consumption. It comprises
an onboard system for use by the bridge officers and is
compatible with NAPA Office, enabling follow-up of the
fleet’s performance from ashore.
The onboard module provides the officers with the most
optimal speed profile and route for any given voyage. Use
of the accurate 3D model in calculations and the detailed
weather forecast make it possible to use NAPA Voyage
Optimization as an advanced weather routing system.
From Port to Port
NAPA Voyage Optimization helps to plan the intended
voyage days ahead of the departure by utilising long-range
weather and current forecasts. Ship officers can import the
route from the navigation system and optimize the voyage.

connections to the navigation and engine automation

NAPA Speed Pilot
The optimal speed profile can also be executed
