Try to prepare the least cost schedule by downloading the Excel work sheet given in the
virtual web site

1.First of all save the excel wsheet in a backup file and work on the second one..Enter the crash schedule
in the work sheet called “crash sched” and move to the next work sheet called Wsheet master

2.Refer the CP diagram given below.Enter all the possible routes for example ACG, AEF etc under the
headings route 1 and route 2 in the rows with green color. For example activity A should be entered in
green box in column C

3.The Critical path will be path with longest time. The cheapest activity to crash will be seen at the right
hand side of each route in column U

4.Crash down the activity by going to row 7 with green color.See if the project duration comes down in
cell U9 .If it comes down note down the new project time and cost in a separate piece of paper

5.Crash another cheapest activity as shown at the right hand side of work sheet

6.When activities cannot be crashed further you will see the label FULL in column U
