Configuration
• Point the browser to the IT Self-Service Portal (http://[server_ip]:9080 )
• Click on “sign-in” and authenticate to self-service portal as administrator ( user
"admin@liferay.com", password "admin" )
• Check if “Edit Controls”, at the top of the page, is enabled
• Point the mouse over the “CMDBUILD GUI FRAMEWORK” label: click on
wrench icon to access the configuration menu
• In the Configuration section, modify these fields
◦ API Url
◦ App Root URL
◦ App Config URL
All references to “localhost:8180” must be replaced with the ip address of
CMDBuild Ready2Use Appliance and CMDBuild's port.
• Click on “Save” button
• Refresh the page and you will be able to see the IT Self-Service Portal
Notes: You can access demo data with all users saved on Employee Class of
CMDBuild Ready2Use Test Environment:
• Username: email of user
• Password: code of the user
In example:
• Username: a.anderson@example.com
• Password: a.anderson
Email setting: To enable IT Self-Service Portal sending emails, you have to configure
this file

The installation on a VMWare ESX server requires a conversion using
VMWare Converter.

• at least 6 GB RAM
• 100 GB of available disk space with the addition of the estimated disk space needed for the
Alfresco repository

HOW TO

Performing administration tasks

Since CMDBuild's appliance uses Ubuntu, root user is left disabled as default. You can perform
administration tasks as well using the sudo command.
