"JESUS WALKS ON WATER"

WARM UP:

How do you respond when things don't go as planned?

How do you deal with challenges in life?

WORD:

but he said to them "It is I don't be afraid" Then they are willing to take Him
into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were leading.

John 6:20-21

WHAT:

Sometimes in the midst of trials we felt like God is not with us. And most of us in tough time we
ask questions: Why me? Why now? Instead, we should be asking: Lord, how can I respond in a
way that honors your name? How can I worship you in my situation? In this lesson, we will look
at what the Bible says we can do to glorify God in the midst of them.

1. You are in a test, Test of Faith.

And He saw that they were making headway painfully for the wind was against them .And
about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by
them. but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out.

Mark 6:47-48

• Jesus is fully aware of our situation. But we have to be in this test. It is not just a test, Test of
Faith .

What is the reaction of the disciples when they saw Jesus walking on water?

How do they respond?

But he said to them "It is I don't be afraid" Then they are willing to take Him
into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were leading.

John 6:20-21

Then He climbed into the boat with them, And the wind died down. They were completely
amazed.

Mark 6:50

• God brings inner peace first before the situation.

Why do Jesus have to walk on water?

• God can use those moments of testing to reveal himself and to be close to u.

•Jesus is more interested in changing you and molding you rather than the circumstances.

APPLICATION: In times of trials or testing of faith, How can you respond with worship?

What did God teach you during this time?
