Revised Guidelines for Gadgets Appraisal


as of April 27, 2017
Notes:
1. All statements in the guidelines pertained to All Acceptable Brands and Specifications of gadgets.
2. The maximum appraise value will only be applied on the Cellular phones, Smart Watches, Digital
cameras, Tablet & Laptop that meets the above requirements.
3. Repawning of Gadget is allowed Two (2) days after redemptions. The said gadget must be
checked and tested again upon pawning.
4. “Yellow highlighted” data means additional or revised statements.

CELLPHONE

Guidelines Deductions

Guides  All acceptable units that are not openline in the Philippines or
locked network to other countries. Please insert sim card/s and
have it tested.
 All acceptable units except iphone with access codes/patterns shall
be accepted provided that appraiser will double check the
password and indicate the accurate password on the label and
appraisal sheet.
 For units with fingerprint sensors, fingerprint password must be
disabled
 All Apple iPhones with activated Restriction code and Find my
iPhone must be turn off /disable.
 Due to removed find my iPhone and iCloud Account checker
website, all Apple iPhones with versions 10.2 and higher will be

accepted provided that iCloud account is signed out. (procedures
was sent by APD to Operations –February 8, 2017)
 All cellphones with FRP lock can be accepted
 All cellphones with android version 5.1.1 and below with
REACTIVATION lock can be accepted
 All cellphones with android version 6.0 and above with
REACTIVATION lock can be accepted with corresponding deduction
 Accept cellphone units locked to a particular network (ex.
Globe/Smart/Sun Only) with appraisal of 50% of the maximum
appraise value
 Appraiser must tag the item as Locked to globe/smart/sun and
indicate it on the label and appraisal sheet
NOT ACCEPTABLE  All acceptable cellphone models with missing stylus.
 Apple iPhone units using Gevey Sim Cards, X-sim cards, R-Sim cards.
 Excessive (deep/serious) Scratches will automatically not
acceptable.
 Dead Pixels on the Screen.

 14 Megapixels and above for SLR/DLSR (Professional cameras).

 All professional cameras / DSLR must have a camera bag. (presentable bags)

 Memory Cards must be at least 4GB and above only.

Not  Clip charger / universal charger

 Double AA batteries even rechargeable batteries.

 Eco bag, Plastic bag and/or any kind of Tenuous bags and cases.

Note: Foreign Language cameras like Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, etc. will be accepted
provided that there will be a Language Setting for “ENGLISH” and have it tested.

 Due to removed find my iPhone and iCloud Account checker website, all Apple iPads with
versions 10.2 and higher will be accepted provided that iCloud account is signed out.

 All tablet lock screen passcode must be turn off /disable.


 All Apple iPads with activated Restriction code and Find my iPhone must be turn off /disable.
 All Apple iPads with Class B label and/or specifications on its back case/housing will be
ACCEPTABLE, as long as tested as genuine.
 All tablet brands/ models with sim card slot must be tested the sim card and check if the
network provider / carrier appears on the unit, please check also the condition of the sim card
tray.
 Tablet units to be pawn without bag, case/pouch, will be acceptable.
 Accept tablet units with sim locked to a particular network (ex. Globe/Smart/Sun Only) with
appraisal of 50% of the maximum appraise value
 Appraiser must tag the item as Locked to globe/smart/sun and indicate it on the label and
appraisal sheet

LAPTOP

Determination of laptop or netbook shall be based on the gadgets processor

Below List are the Models of Laptop and Netbook which are NOT ACCEPTABLE:

 All HP/ COMPAQ start with CQ model

Netbook Brands
 MSi Netbooks
 Neo Netbooks
 Asus Netbooks (Selected)
o Asus Netbook touch screen windows and above are now accepted

Guides:  All pawned gadget that is LOWBAT can be accepted, you may charge the unit
at the branch and test all the functions. The battery level must be at least 50%
and above.
 Windows 8 and Windows 10 with restriction password shall be accepted
provided that appraiser will double check the password and indicate the
accurate password on the label and appraisal sheet.
Not  Dead Pixels on the screen is not acceptable
Acceptable
 Eco bag, Plastic bag and/or any kind of Tenuous bags and cases.

Additional Guidelines for Laptop

We would like to announce that the 2nd Generation Processor of Intel will NO LONGER be ACCEPTABLE.
The picture below are the logo of 2nd generation i3, i5 and i7 Processor if Intel.

If there is no sticker on the laptop, Search for system information if it is Windows 7 and msinfo32 for
Windows 8. Look for its Processor, If the number next to Core i3/i7/i5 starts with number 2, it means that
the item is 2nd generations.

Given picture below is an example of core i3 2nd Generation processor.
