Lysistrata is one of those works that we could call totally immoral, but the truth is that beneath all

this
shamelessness, it hides a very moralistic tone and full of honest sense. The first thing we can see in it is
this call to happiness that makes men driven by the ecstasy and euphoria that produces war, called that
occurs through women, which are manifested as the main axes in charge to dismantle this useless war,
organizing itself in such a way as to encourage its men to desist from the Peloponnesian War. This
agreement is carried out by the principal in the work, which is Lysistrata, a woman who encourages
others to abstain sexually, so that their husbands or lovers leave the war and firm, once and for all,
peace between Athens and Sparta.
