Scoring more than 60% in Calcutta university is tough but not impossible. U can
score it ; but u have to be very conscious about your study; u need a lot of hard
work to do. One of my friend is of your department i.e. English honors. He is
very good in studies but unfortunately he can't score more than 60% in Ist year
but that doesn't mean u can't score it. U have to keep touch with your college
professor so that they can guide u properly. Present your answer sheet in such a
way that it attracts the examiner and keep attention in your professor class. U
have to do a lot of hard work and be consistent in it. Also try to solve previous
year questions paper as they are helpful. And lastly all the best to you.

If I am not wrong - you have to maintain 65 in 1st and 2nd years and 60 and
above in 3rd , to maintain a 60% aggregate.

However if you get more than 55/56 be proud of yourself, as topper/gold

medallist will get about 62 or thereabouts. So 55+ is an accomplishment here!
