20th Annual Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival

Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival (JIFF) is a summer festival celebrating independent films. It takes place in the first week of August
at Jeongdong Elementary school, and is co-hosted by Gangenung Cinematheque and the Korean Film Archive. JIFF was created in 1999,
in collaboration with The Association of Korean Independent Film and Video, and screens independent films in an inclusive atmosphere
that includes audience-friendly programs and conversations with the directors and actors. All screenings are held outside and are free of
charge.

Address: 1055, Heonhwa-ro, Jeongdongjin-ri, Gangdong-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea

By Car: Route 7, via South. Gangneung IC, 20min.
By Train: Cheongnyangri (Central Line) - Jeongdongjin (Yeongdong Line), about 5-6 hrs.
By Express Bus: East Seoul Station - Jeongdongjin, about 3hrs 30min.
By Urban Bus: Namdaechun Bus Station - Jeongdongjin, about 30 min.

Shuttle Bus

After the last screening of the day, there will be a free shuttle bus from Jeongdongjin to downtown Gangneung departing from the front
entrance of Jeongdongjin Elementary School.
