SUMMARY
Analytics enthusiast with more than five years of solid experience in stochastic Bayesian modeling, well
control and well placement optimization, machine learning and physics-based simulation and real-world
data analysis. Demonstrated skills in uncertainty quantification, pattern recognition, distributed
computation for artificial intelligence and learning systems. The results of my work have been reported
in more than 5 journals/conferences.

PROJECTS
 Oil Production Forecast: Automated physics based oil production forecasting algorithms for
unconventional/conventional reservoirs. Developed using python programming language. Data of
more than 10,000 wells across US were managed using MYSQL.

 Recommendation System: Development of a smart recommendation system to forecast required

well stimulation processes such as re-fracking and acid job. Enhanced the oil production by
recommending and implementing appropriate stimulation techniques.

 Geo-Pattern Recognition: A novel distance transform for characterization of geological features.

Improved the estimation of rock facies connectivity and reduced the integration time using static and
dynamic data.

 Geo-Image Clustering: Classification of prior geo-images using K-means clustering technique.

Reduced the integration time significantly from days to minutes.

 Optimum Field Facilities: Designing optimum surface and subsurface field facilities for a heavy oil
reservoir stimulated with steam injection and underground combustion.

 Optimization Package: Optimization of well control and well placement using Quasi Newton and
SPSA algorithms.

 Fractured Reservoir: Characterization of fractured reservoir by assimilation of monitoring and

performance data with ensemble based methods.

 Seismic Data Assimilation: Seismicity based reservoir characterization of KTB field, Germany with
Ensemble Kalman Filtering (EnKF).
