COMMUNION SUNDAY

PREPARING OUR HEARTS FOR THE COMMUNION

(As soft music is played, let’s reflect on these passage from God’s Word: “For in just a very little while,
‘He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks
back, I will not be pleased with him: But we are not of these who shrink back and are destroyed, but
those who believe and are saved.” Hebrews 10:37-39

INVITATION TO WORSHIP

People: Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Liturgist: Declare his glory among the nations his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
People: For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.

AS WE SERVE
“So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord Jesus, or of me His prisoner. Instead, share in the
suffering of the gospel, relying on the power of God. He has saved us and called us with a holy calling,
not according to your works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in
Christ Jesus before time began. This has been made evident through the appearing of our Savior Christ
Jesus; who has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (s Tim.
1:8-10).
We should not be ashamed of the gospel but reminded of its power.
Don’t be ashamed by Jesus’ suffering or my (Paul) suffering or be scared about your own suffering.
Constantly remind yourself of the power of the gospel!” It’s as if Paul is saying, “Believe what you know
to be true, not just what your eyes see at this moment.”
