This Supplement to British Standard 5728-2 has been prepared under the
direction of the Industrial-process Measurement and Control Standards
Committee and is identical with ISO 4064-2:1978:Addendum 1 — “Measurement
of water flow in closed conduits — Meters for cold potable water —
Part 2: Installation requirements — Addendum 1: Parallel and multiple meter
operation”, published in 1983 by the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO).
Terminology and conventions. The text of the international standard has
been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without
deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those
used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following.
Where the word “addendum” appears, referring to this standard, it should be read
as “supplement”.

International standard Corresponding British Standard
ISO 7858-1, referred to in the text as being at the stage of draft, has been
published under the title “Measurement of water flow in closed conduits — Meters
for cold potable water — Combination meters — Part 1: Specification”. The term
“combined meters” has not been used.
