Project Two Postwrite Questions

1. In what three ways did your peers help you produce a better project—be specific. You
should outline meaningful revisions that you have made as a result of their comments.
Please avoid discussing minor tweaks in grammar and punctuation here.

I think that one of the best thins about having a peer review this project was the fact that the peer
was looking at our promotional bundles practically as a prospective customer, so they
were able to tell me what did and did not work in their eyes. My peers brought to my
attention a design that did not work, specifically the use of the color red on the small
lettering on my menu. They also brought to my attention a part of my text that was not
clear, as I mentioned a social media page but did not specify where that page could be
found. Lastly, my peers were able to point out elements in my documents that lacked
cohesion, and their suggestions helped to make the documents more professional looking
overall.

2. What did you learn from doing your blog that you were able to apply to this bundle; that
is, how did you use the feedback you received to improve your work? Please comment on
improvement in whichever of the following areas apply: your rhetorical skills
(recognizing and appealing to audience needs/interests/concerns in text and visuals); your
ability to present a cohesive set of documents; your research and analysis skills; your
ability to recognize and edit organizational problems or grammatical errors; any other
area where you believe you have shown improvement.

The blog really helped me to understand a sense of cohesion, especially because the blog itself
centers around one specific topic, as does this bundle. It also helped me to have a more
keen attention to detail; some suggestions in my blog posts were to simply pay attention
to my grammatical errors, and so I have become more careful with that in my blog posts
and that ideal carried over into my bundle documents. I think overall I have improved in
integrating visuals into my documents, often times with the blog I found myself either
using too little visuals, or not enough, or I could not find one that would fit the post. With
this bundle, I think that the visuals I used tied in really well with all the documents and
really helps to support the business.

3. In what ways did the course readings/activities/class discussions help you as you
composed this project?
The class discussions on aesthetic appeal and design really helped me to compose this project
those two elements played a huge role in each document in the bundle. In regards of graphics,
class discussions really emphasized the idea of not cluttering elements with a lot of graphics, but
still using the right amount and the right graphics themselves to leave an impression on viewers.

The slides that were posted really helped me to compose my pieces, my Facebook page
especially. I used the idea of taking customer feedback and opinions that was mentioned and
actually turned that into an element on the Facebook page. They were just helpful in really
getting an idea of what was professionally acceptable and what was appealing to the public eye,
and served as a really helpful guide when trying to piece together and design these different
documents.
