esmart

esmart is an application that can provide information and transaction data of


Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) directly on your monitor. esmart presents to provide
easiness to you, as BNI Securities customer, who will perform the transaction on your
own. esmart provides complete features in performing the transactions, e.g. input,
withdraw, and amend anytime during IDX trading hours as if you do it on trading floor,
esmart provides two main applications, which are:

Trading Market Info

Trading Application
Trading is an application to perform trading transaction. Through Trading application,
you can perform buy-sell transactions of Securities. Trading provides facility to monitor
status of transactions made, account position, fund position, or even your portfolio
position.

Market Info Application


Market Info is an application to monitor stock market in IDX. Through Market Info, you
can find securities price data, among others, stocks, indices, and other information
available in the Exchange real-time.

esmart Installation

esmart Installation

Before using esmart, you must install esmart in your computer. Make sure that you
have esmart CD installer, hardware and supporting applications.

To get the esmart CD installer, you can contact Customer Service of BNI
Securities head office or nearest outlets, or you can directly download it at:
http://www.bnisecurities.co.id/esmart/download.

Hardware and Supporting Applications


Before performing the installation, there are things that you should consider and
prepare, as follow:

1. Minimum Hardware Specification


• Intel Pentium IV or higher
• 512 MB Memory
• 32 MB VGA Card Memory
• 10 GB Hard Disk

2. Supporting Applications
To make sure esmart can run well, you need some supporting applications to
be installed in your computer. There are mandatory and optional supporting
applications.
Supporting applications needed:
• Java Runtime Environment 1.6, JRE 1.6 (mandatory)
• Adobe Acrobat Reader (optional)
• Microsoft Excel (optional)

3. Operation Systems
esmart is compatible with these following operation systems:
• Microsoft Windows ( XP / 2000 / 7 / Vista )
• Linux 32bit
• Mac OS X

4. Internet Network Connection


To use esmart software, you must have internet connection.

Configuration Setting

Configuration setting is applied to change the Primary IP which is the main IP


used for the connection. Backup IP is reserve IP that is used if there is problem
with the Primary IP. Mark the Web Proxy Server if you use Proxy in your internet
connection.

Configuration modification should be made with guideline from


BNI Securities Helpdesk.

3. esmart Update Configuration

Updater software applies to update the application you use for each function added
on the application.

If there is a change on the application being used, the application will automatically
close and the updater will perform the updating. When it is opened again, the
application will display the newest version.

Additional installation steps for Windows Vista:


1. Close the esmart application after you perform the
installation.
2. Before running the esmart, perform download folder
deleting in c: Program Files ► esmart ► data
3. Restart the esmart application

If you use office’s internet network (LAN), make sure these ports are open :
a. 443
b. 62229
c. 63339

Running esmart

To run the application, do the following steps:

1. Double-click esmart icon on your desktop to activate it.

2. After the loading process is completed, esmart front page will appear. You can
see the active application version on upper left corner of the windows.

To run the Market Info application program, you must login first. Below are steps to
login:

1. Choose Application ► Market info-Equity ► Login menu

For security reason, change your password once you receive it.

4. Click Logon to use the market info application.

After you login to market info, Quote, Trade, Securities and Market menus will
appear.

Log In Trading

To run Trading application program, you must login first.

1. Choose Application ► Trading-Equity ► Login (Ctrl+D) menu

Connected
Make sure that your esmart application is always connected to the server engine. Do
the steps below to ensure the esmart connection setting

1. To know that you are well-connected, make sure that Connection icon is green !

2. Connection icon will be red if disruption occurs in your connection.

Log Out
1. To logout from Market info application, choose Application ► Market info -
Equity ► Logout menu

2. To logout from Trading application, choose Application ► Trading - Equity ► Logout


menu

3. To logout directly from both applications, choose Application ► Exit menu

4. If there is problem with the application, try to logout from the application and perform
re-login
5. To avoid misapplication of your account by irresponsible party, log out or exit from
the application when it is not used.

Change Password
When performing the login for the first time, you must change the password you
received from BNI Securities.

1. Change and keep your password confidential to avoid misapplication by others.


2. Password should be more than 6 characters (can be letters or numbers).
3. If you want to change your Market info password again, choose Application ►
Maket Watch Equity ► Changed Password menu.
4. Or choose Application ►Trading Equity ►Changed Password menu to change
your Trading password.
5. To change the password, enter your old password in old column.
6. Enter your new password in new column.
7. Re-enter your new password in confirm column.
8. Click Ok. If the password modification has been successful, you will see confirmation
windows.

ATTENTION!!!
1. System will require you to directly change the password when you receive it
for the first time.
2. Make sure that your password consists of more than 6 characters, either
letters or numbers.
3. Keep your password confidential.

Lock
You can lock the application temporarily.

1. Choose Application ► Market Watch/Trading Equity ► Lock menu.


2. To re-activate the application, re-enter your password and click Unlock.

Refresh
You can use the refresh menu if synchronization is required between data on the
screen and in database.

1. Mark √ on data that need to be synchronized.


2. Refresh Static Data is applied to update data if there is new stock listing.
3. Refresh Account & Customer is used to make sure that your account and customer
data are same (e.g outstanding plafond, customer’s address, phone number,
etc.).
4. Refresh Portfolio is used to synchronise the your portfolio data.
5. Refresh Order & Trade is used to synchronise the data status that is still open
(order) and done (trade).

Refresh is performed only when necessary.

Themes

Themes is applied to display the windows theme based on your preference. There
are themes options available for colour modification of your windows display.

Preferences - Market Info Equity

1. To set the colour of Market info application, choose Application ► Market info ►
Preference menu
2. To give customized colour on increasing price (up), decreasing price (down), as
well as broker and your preferred sector, double-click on colour column next to
the text. For example, blue colour for BNI Securities (NI) broker.
3. To display disclaimer every time you login, mark √ on Display Disclaimer Before
Login.
4. To change font size or display number, click Font.
5. To show separator line between columns and rows, mark √ on Show Grid.

Preferences - Trading Equity

1. To set the colour of Trading application, click Application ► Trading Equity ►


Preference menu.
2. To change the colour of order list/trade list, your buy/sell order form, double-click
on colour column next to text.
3. To change font size or display number, click Font.
4. To display separator line between columns and rows, mark √ on Show Grid.
5. To perform automatic time setting for sending temporary order, mark √ on Auto
Send Temporary and define the time.
6. To get market data, which will display the update stock prices on your buy/sell
order form, mark √ on Connect to server quote.
7. To save password, mark √ on Auto Save Password, so you do not have to re-
enter the password every time you send order.
8. To disregard highlight movement on your windows list when a new order appears,
mark √ on Move Highlight, so the highlight will stay on your highlighted order.
9. To display the disclaimer every time you login, mark √ on Display Disclaimer

Shortcut Editor
You can use shortcut editor to speed dialing the menus available in the application.
The dialing code for shortcut has been provided to help you.

1. Shortcut code for Market Info can be found in Shortcut Code Table.
2. Or at Application ► Trading Equity ► Shortcut Editor menu.
3. Press F9 button to call the shortcut, then enter the shortcut code to display the
required windows.

For example:
Shortcut code for Trade List = N15.
To display Trade List quickly, press F9 and type N15 on shortcut column.

Save Workspace
You can save your workspace or screen display, and you can display it back at any
time.

Change Data Order


You can change data order on certain windows.

1. To change data order based on ascending (from the smallest to largest) or


descending (from the largest to smallest), highlight the Header you want.
2. To change the order to ascending, click once on the header.
3. To make descending order, double-click on the header. .

Docking - Undocking
You can perform docking or undocking function to set your windows display.

1. To make windows group (windows in windows), drag and drop the selected
windows to the preferred position.
2. Right click on the upper side of the windows you will dock or undock.
3. You can set the windows position anywhere on your monitor.

Properties
You can set the column type that will be displayed on your windows.

1. To display Properties menu, right-click on the windows column


2. Click Properties until the windows Properties appears.

4. Header on Show column can be seen on your windows.
5. To move all headers in Hide column to Show column, click button.

Temporary Order (before the market is open)

1. To make temporary Order on Buy/Sell order form, give √ mark on the Temporary
box (on Optional).
2. To send the temporary order one by one when the market is open, right-click on
the order, then choose Send.
3. To send temporary orders in the preopening list all at once, press CTRL+P. Make
sure that the time of this order delivery is on the Preopening session (between
9.10 – 9.25 AM).
To send temporary orders (selected) all at once:
4. Choose order row to be sent by pressing CTRL button, so temporary orders will
be selected.
5. While pressing the CTRL button, right-click the mouse and press Send.
To send all temporary orders:
6. To send all existing temporary orders, press CTRL+S, or
7. To display only temporary orders on the list, choose all orders by pressing CTRL+A.
While pressing CTRL button, pointing the cursor to the order list selected, then
right-click the mouse and press Send.
8. If the sent orders do not comply with the requirements, then they will be rejected.
It oftenly occurs when the stocks are exclusive of the pre-opening stocks. To re-
send the rejected orders, right-click and choose Resend.
9. To cancel temporary orders, right-click and choose Delete.
10. You can make temporary order for orders you do not want to send to the stock
exchange on the trading hours.

Watch the order, whether it is inclusive of pre-opening or not for trading at 9.10 – 9.25

Entry Order Right Securities


You can input order for Right by inputting the order similar to common stock order.

On the Optional Windows, specify:


a. Board: Cash
b. Order Type: Session Order

Amend (F3)

Amend dari Form Amend (F3)

1. To show the Amend windows :


a.Choose Transaction ► Equities ► Amend menu. Or just press F3 button
2. To enter the PIN or secret code :
a. To save the secret code, give √ mark on the Save column.
b. To switch from the secret code column without using the mouse, press
CTRL+P then press Tab.
c. To give/clear √ mark on Save Passcode column without using mouse, use
Space bar.
d. To switch directly to the Save Passcode column, press SHIFT+P button
3. Enter the Order-ID that you will Amend.
a. Press Alt+O button
b. Or press Order button
c. Then click Tab button repeatedly until the cursor comes to stock option. You
can specify order per particular stock to be displayed on the list.

4. Make sure the order display is in accordance with the option you will amend.
5. To change the price, enter the new price on New Price column by pressing F7
button.
6. To change the amount of order lot, you have to go into New Lot column by pressing
F8 button.
7. After all the Amend columns are filled-in, you can use the following instructions:
a. Send or Alt+D to proceed the amend order process. Give √ mark on the
Confirm Before Send column to show the amend confirmation (to ensure
that the order will be amended).
b. Clear or Alt+R to clear the data on the amend order form.
c. Cancel or Alt+C to cancel the contents of amend order you have filled-in.
8. Mark √ on the Close after send column, to always close the order windows after
sending the order.
9. To close this Amend form, use Esc button or click X on the upper right of the
windows.

7. Change Price by pressing F7 button and Lot by pressing F8 button, based on
required price and amount.
8. After the amend order process is completed, you can use the following
instructions:
a. Send or Alt+D to proceed. Give √ mark on Confirm Before Send column to
show the amend confirmation (to ensure that the order will be amended).
b. Clear or Alt+R to clear the amend order form from the previous data.
c. Cancel or Alt+C to cancel the amend order content you have filled-in.
9. To close this Amend form, use Esc button or click x on the upper right of the
windows.

1. To show Order List windows:

b. Or press F4 button
2. To enter your PIN or secret code :
a. To save the secret code, give √ mark on Save column.
b. To switch to secret code column without using the mouse, press CTRL+P,
then press Tab.
c. To give/clear the √ mark on Save Passcode column without using the mouse,
use Space bar.
d. To switch directly to Save Passcode column, press SHIFT+P button.
3. To withdraw, enter Order-ID you want to withdraw on Order ID column.

9. Make sure that the order is the one you want to withdraw.
10. After the withdraw order process is completed, you can use the following
instructions:
a. Send or Alt+D to continue the withdraw order process. Give √ mark on
Confirm Before Send column to display withdraw confirmation (to ensure
that order will be amended). Give √ mark on Close after send column, to
always close order windows after sending the order.
b. Clear or Alt+R to clear data on withdraw form order.
c. Cancel or Alt+C to cancel withdraw order content you have filled-in.
11. To close this withdraw form, use Esc button or click X at upper right windows.

1. To display Order List windows:

2. To withdraw several orders at once, while pressing CTRL button select the orders
you want to withdraw, then right-click and choose Withdraw.
3. Or display open orders only, press CTRL+A button to choose all orders. While
pressing CTRL button, right-click the mouse then choose Withdraw.

Windows List
Order List (F10)
Order list will display all orders you have inputted.

1. Display the Order List windows


a. Choose Transaction ► Equities ► Order List menu
b. Or press F10 button
2. All orders you have inputted will appear on the windows.
3. You can perform filtering of data displayed based on various criterias provided.
4. You can Amend or Withdraw from this order list by doing:
a. Highlight the order row you will amend or withdraw
b. Right-click on the order
c. Choose Amend or Withdraw
5. To save the orders on the list into Excel format, right-click and choose Save to
Excel or press Ctrl+E
6. To send temporary order from the list, choose order status Temporary, then
choose order to be sent, right-click and choose Send Order.
7. To send order without using the mouse, press Ctrl+A (to choose all temporary
orders), then press Ctrl+Ins to send.
8. To send all temporary orders in order list (without being sorted), press Ctrl + S.

3. Orders that have been inputted by Salesperson will appear in the Order Taker List

Account List
In this windows, you can see your account status. You can also see your trading
status on Status column, for example: Active or Suspend Buy (cannot perform buy
transaction).

Portfolio (Ctrl+F8)
Portfolio is a windows that contains of your data, including your cash position.

1. To show Customer windows, choose Transaction ► Equities ► Portfolio

3. In this Windows, you can see your portfolio and cash position.
4. Cash on hand is your cash, excluding immature orders.
5. Trading limit is a Limit for performing buy transaction
6. Cash on T+3 is your cash position including transaction that will mature on T+3
(today’s transaction).
7. Portfolio is portfolio value owned based on market price minus haircut.
8. On cash settlement, you can see cash position of the following day (T+1), the day
after tomorrow (T+2), and today’s order that will mature (T+3).
9. You can see securities details on the following column.

Report

Order List Report

1. Order Report is a report displaying all orders data that you have performed, either
Open, Amend, Withdraw, or even done orders.
2. You can make options on the report you want to display, for example a report for
particular stock transactions only.
3. You can also make the report based on order status, whether All (all status) or
Open only, etc.
4. You are required to consider Order type as well. If you choose My Order, only
orders you have inputted will appear.
5. Meanwhile, if you choose Taker Order, orders inputted by your Salesperson will
appear.
6. If you choose All Order, then all orders inputted by you or your Salesperson will
appear.

Order Ticket Report is a report that will display all done orders, buy orders are
separated from sell orders. The report is made based on securities and price. Lot or
quantity is a combination of done securities orders on the same price. It is advised
that you choose All Order the report type:
