My first choice as a career was to be a cricketer and I had even started playing for the
National Team, but due to family problems, I had to join our family business.
To work in the family business initially was really tough as I had to learn a lot.
There were many difficulties in the beginning but I overcame all of them and helped grow
the business.
Although I had to struggle a lot, but in the end, I won and made my family proud.
I have been in this business for the last 20 years.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities.

There are many responsibilities ranging from customer handling, employee management,
material sourcing, order delivering, finances etc.
I have to take care of the customers such as their likes and dislikes, to oversee my
employees and keep a check on orders as well as the material required for the orders to
complete.
Another important task, which is seldom neglected, is to create a harmonious work
environment so that both employees and customers feel at peace.
To keep a tab of the firm’s profit and loss and much more.

and obeying someone else.
It allows you to control your work-life balance. If you want to spend time with your family or
go on holiday, you can easily manage it by giving responsibility to someone whom you trust.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to
be aware of when considering joining a family business like
yours?
Some negatives are that it is very difficult sometimes to spend time with the family if the
workload is more and this may even lead to family disturbance.
Sometimes you need to listen to someone else rather than doing things according to your
wishes.
If your firm isn’t making a profit, then all the stress and burden comes to you and sometimes
even your employees do not understand your situation and it may lead to chaos that can
take your organization into more losses.
