Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between NAIST and INSTITUTE

NAME

1. Purpose and Scope


The purpose of this MOA is to outline a framework of cooperation between NAIST and
INSTITUTE NAME to share the expertise skill in the Moringa Oleifera farming, processing,
testing and commercialization of product in Madhyabindu Municipality, Nawalparashi, Nepal
based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the parties earlier.
Knowing the health benefit, therapeutic use, nutritional values and indigenous production of
Moringa Oleifera, NAIST along with its collaborating partner INSITUTE NAME has agreed to
apply proposal for research funding on scientific plantation, harvesting, processing, testing,
and commercialization of Moringa Olieifera products to domestic and international markets.
The agreement aims to
 Gather, compile, the data on scientific farming of Moringa Oleifera
 Disseminate the knowledge of scientific farming to local farmers in Nawalparasi and
other parts of Nepal
 Publish the finding in the seminar, conference and academic journal (domestic and
international)
 Identify opportunities for collaborative projects and sustainable networks in future.
2. Responsibilities
In consultation with each other, NAIST and INSTITUTE NAME
 Design the execution plan of the project
 Identify, and select necessary machinery, material and processes
 Implement the project
 Act as co-organizers to the meeting, including communication and correspondence
with the local governing bodies and the communities.
In consultation with INSTITUTE NAME, NAIST will upon receiving the grant
 Provide necessary resources for the project implementation
In consultation with NAIST, INSTITUTE NAME will:

 Share their research finding and expertise consultation for the execution of the project
 Seek financial resources for furthering the research even after the grant duration is
terminated.
 Create sustainable network between INSTITUTE NAME and other partner
organization
 Provide feed-back and suggestion on the project
3. Entire of Agreement

4. This MOA is not intended to create legally binding obligation, but is a statement of intent of all
PARTIES. It sets forth the entire understanding of all PARTIES with respect to the
collaboration contemplated. It may be amended only by written instrument executed by all
PARTIES.

5. Duration
This MOA become effective on the date of the signature last affixed to this page by all parties.
This MOA will terminate upon the completion of the project.
