1. Introduction chassis block diagram

MST719 chassis is composed of power management,Tuning circuit, IF Amplifier circuit, TDA9885 is the IF-PLL demodulators,
CVBS and Sound decode,video processing circuit. The MST719DU is the main IC combines the functions of 2D comb filter Decode
and 2De-Interlacing ,µ-controller. ADC and Scaling . Integration one HDMI. TAS5707 is the sound processor and Sound amplifier.
The block diagram as follow:

a) 74HC4052D (U14,U15) for external audio source switch.
b) PI5V330 (U6) for option external module DVD or USB with YPbPr signal switch,If
not use DVD or USB function this IC no need install.
c) RC4558 (U4) for AV output audio amplifier, because the external audio signal by
74hc4502D switched the audio level not enough(under 620MVrms).
d) 24C04 (U7,U8) for VGA and HDMI DDC memory.
e) 24C32 (U21) for EEPROM.
f) 24C04(U19) for HDMI EDID@HDCP.

6. Usual fault
1), Can’t work(fault description: LED is off or red LED is always on )
N 1. Check the 5V_STB have +5V or not. If OK

Firstly confirm if the AC power supply please check main chassis.
mains Switch is ok, and then Check if the 2. If 5V_STB abnormity, pull out the power
LED Not on
red LED is on supply connector, Then retest the 5V_STB, if
become OK main chassis problem, if still
can’t power on Y abnormity the power supply board problem.
Check if the voltage of the U2 output is

3.3V, the U1 output is 1.2V and check the
relevant voltage get to the MST719 IC pins.
Check if the crystal is work, it frequency is N

+12M, check the Q28 reset circuit normal
working.
N
Check if the I2C of U18 pin61,pin62 and the
U21 I2C pin software data is ok. Check U20
flash IC is work and the software data
normal operation.
If all the work condition are ready but still N

can’t power on ,Please try to change
MST719 main IC.

2). Back lamp can’t be on
N Y
Firstly check if the power supply Check if the voltage of the CN21 pin4 STB
output 12V, 5VS and 5V_STB is ok. on/off is high level to 4.5V
N
Check the pin voltage of the Check the component Q7 and the relevant Y
connector CN21 pin 11 Bright on/off circuit work normal. Then check MST719
control is high level to 4.0V pin55 control level is low.
Check the power supply inverter

3),Image abnormity ( white screen or no picture)
First check the LVDS line connect 1. Change the LVDS line.
from main board to panel interface N 2. If have not +5V power supply,
is OK, then check the panel supply Check U3 5V switch and MST719
power +5V I/O control circuit.
Check LVDS signal data waveform 1. Check the component of CN14.

output is ok 2. Check the MST719 IC work circuit.

As per input source picture If all the work condition are ready but
abnormity, Check TV source of still picture abnormity try to change
TDA9885,tuner ect. circuit. MST719 main IC.

to MST719 input circuit.

4). No Sound
Check the power supply board.

Firstly Check if audio Source input
is ok.

Check if the power supply FB8 12V NO Check the CN21 pin 8,9 power
is ok, FB5,FB16 +3.3V is OK. supply output 12V OK or not.
Check if the U16 TAS5707 pin 19 Check the Q23,Q21 and the I2C
voltage is high to 3.6V, Check the NO circuit.
pin23,24 software is ok.

1.U27 PCM1808 is the ADC IC,If not Check the power supply circuit or
sound output to speaker, need change the component of crystal.
check this IC work status, please
check the power supply: +3.3V and
5VS is ok or not. 2.U28 is the
crystal oscillation driver IC, check
the pin6 +3.3V is OK then check
the frequency of pin6 is 12.288M
Check the audio switch ICs U14,U26

power supply voltage is ok, check
the logic control is ok,
If all of the condition are ready and

the relevant periphery components
are checked is OK, finally try to
change the IC of
U16/U27/U28/U14/U26.
