Dear Mayor Sumaylo,

I am writing this letter to raise a concern with regards to the road heading towards Koinonia Hill,
Upper Songculan, Dauis. The cemented area of the said road is passable with one vehicle only and due to
the increase in traffic on that area two or more vehicles may pass at the same time on that road and safety
may be compromised.

This matter was raised to the Municipality thru the Municipal Planning and Development
Coordinator (MPDC) in which the latter has approved to concrete an additional one (1) meter of the said
road. The MPDC has further approved that the budget of such concreting will be taken from the twenty
percent (20%) Development Fund Budget.

But despite the additional one (1) meter area to be concreted, we still find it insufficient and
dangerous for two (2) vehicles passing by at the same time especially during rainy days considering that
the road is ascending and there is a cliff on the side.

Thus, I am writing this letter to request permission from your good office to allow us to concrete
another one (1) meter on one side of the road to extend the cemented area from three (3) meters to four
(4) meters to give a wider passage for the vehicles passing by at the same time. This is for the benefit and
utmost safety of all those who are passing by the said road and to prevent any accident or mishap in the
future.

This matter has been discussed and approved by the Sangguniang Barangay of Songculan during
their Regular Session last August 16, 2018.
