Student Notebook Set-Up:
This Speech & Debate notebook will allow you to create a resource to use as you continue to extend your learning. This
notebook will work as a textbook for you. You will record information and process it to improve your level of understanding.
As you learn new ideas, you can use several types of writing and graphic techniques to record them. Then you will do
something with those ideas. In doing so you will use critical-thinking skills to organize and process information. As a result,
you can become more creative, more independent thinkers, and you will develop a deeper understanding of the information
being taught (Ayati, 2006).
