This folder contains the requirements for each of the official concentrations
offered by the IMBA program.

The semester in which the class is offered is designated. Please note that the
spring offerings are tentative and may be subject to change. Any changes to
the fall or spring schedules will be announced on Blackboard as we are

Corporate Accounting and Finance together offer a concentration that deals with
managing and accounting for funds within the firm. Classes include Global Corporate
Valuation, Advanced Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, and
Accounting for Management Control.

Finance

Treasury and Risk Management prepares students to serve in a corporate treasury


department. Topics include acquiring capital by issuing stocks and bonds, allocating
capital to investment projects, and risk management.

Marketing prepares students to be marketing professionals. Some courses focus on
market analysis, marketing communication, and product strategies and policies. Other
classes teach students how to best listen to the voice of the customer, consumer
motivation, consumer choice behavior, and valuing customer loyalty. Courses include
market analysis, consumer behavior, and customer relationship management.

Management of the Multinational Corporation provides students with
concepts, frameworks, and tools for managing the functions and processes of
multinational corporations as well as careers in consulting. Courses include international
business negotiations, organizational development, international mergers and
acquisitions, managing cross-border teams, and foreign market entry.

Entrepreneurship is designed to expose students to concepts and skills associated
with identifying, initiating, and sustaining a new business venture in the 21st-century
global economy. It places heavy emphasis on fieldwork in addition to class work as a
means to provide meaningful experiences in entrepreneurship while nurturing conceptual
development.

Supply Chain Management is for students interested in global supply chain
management. Students learn how operations management can be used as an effective
competitive weapon to penetrate worldwide markets. Courses focus on manufacturing
strategy, total quality management, production planning and control, and technology
management.
