Filipino Communicative Behavior

Mindsets are predeterminants of communicative behavior (traditions, values, belief systems, and
shared experience or commonality) of the Filipinos as affected by contemporary phenomena and
technology.

1. the interpretation of signs and symbols or assigning of meanings to things
2. the adhering to certain convictions or positions in life
3. the sayang at libre syndrome
4. the ready for disappointment mentality
5. the tampo, awa, limot, and kulang sa pansin feelings
6. the ownership-credit thinking
7. the wanting to belong and be recognized tendencies
8. the been-there-done-that attitude
9. the wanting-to-see-and-be-seen ritual
10. the crab mentality
11. the panglalamang
12. the balato or sharing practice
13. the convenience approach to living
14. the sense of humor and rumor
15. the mababaw ang kaligayahan trait
16. the concept of accountability
