EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Fasteners And Allied Products Pvt. Ltd, a progressive company, has more than 40 years
of experience in manufacturing of fasteners and various other precision engineering
components. They specialize in the manufacturing of stud bolts, bolts, and nuts, special
bolts for a wide range of applications in the oil, and petrochemical, power, and thermal
power, heavy and light industries. They have qualified team of engineers to assist and
manufacture of fasteners to meet specific requirements. Over the years our products have
established high reputation for quality and reliability in various fields by leading
customers / consultants. Fasteners And Allied Products Pvt. Ltd is committed to
manufacture quality products. Fasteners And Allied Products Pvt.Ltd’ management
system ensures that quality objective is achieved through the efforts of all the employees.

The project title safety and health management the report is focused on understand=ding
the safety and health management of the organization it also tries to understand the
important of the having the health and safety policy, measures taken to promote health
and safety in the organization.

The need for the study was to know the important of health and sefaty in workplace as a
health and safety regulation are paramount to well being of the employees and employer
with many hazards in today’s work environment it becomes priority for the employer to
keep their employee healthy and safe from these hazards.

The study was conducted with the few objectives in mind that is to know the objects and
awareness of the employee regulating health and safety to analyze the safety management
and health management of the organization, to understand the barriers in adapting health
and safety, and to understand the role of HR in implementing health and safety in the
organization

The response of the study was collected through questionnaire the study taken into
consideration 50 responds level and department and sample size from survey was chosen
based on non-probability and sampling called conventional sampling

The survey results revealed that most of the employees were aware of health and safety
policy they built that the main object of health and safety policy is to ensure safe handling
and use of hazardous substances to provide information and instruction on safety and
health and to maintain safe and health work environment

It was found that most of the accidents in the organization were caused due to unsafe
conditions, unsafe acts, other causes like untrained or new workers or addictation of
employees towards alcohol and drugs it was found that the organization had safety
committee and different equipment were provided for safety of the employees, safety
meeting were conducted in the organization and different topics regarding accidents
injuries new training to be imparted were discussed

It was found that the organization provide that different provision regarding health such
as clean work place, effective disposal of waste, clean drinking water etc

The different records during the general health examination conducted and results of the
medical examination, near miss accidents are maintained in the organization

The role of HR in managing health and safety are to act as a link between management
and employee, and he is the person responsibility or inspecting for health and safety in
organization on regular basis.

Based on the finding some suggestion were given where it was suggested that employee
need to be made aware more in detail about the contents of health and safety policy. The
new joinee`s must be trained in using the hazards equips as to avoid the accidents, the
employees addict to alcohol and drugs must be avoided from use dangerous equipments

The employer and employee must understand responsibility in selection are provision of
PPE and adhered to it, the organization can conducts safety meetings atleast twice in a
months for zero tolerance on health hazards and accidents

The organization can maintain data regarding the occupational the disease and near miss
accidents to avoid their occurrence in future

The study provided me an insight on understanding the strategy importance of managing
health and safety as health and safety programs become important part implementing
injury and immense in the work place

Health and safety program help employer and employees understand the potential
hazards that there are exposed to on daily life as safe and health work place helps in
reducing absenteeism and turnover, increase productivity and quality rise the employee
morale.
