Rage frameworks VPN request Guidelines

Raising VPN Request


1. Send mail to Rage manager to approve the VPN access request by attaching VPN access form

2. Forward the manager’s approval mail to


genpactragesystemteam@genpact.com;genpactrageinfosec@genpact.com; 'HelpDesk'
helpdesk@rageframeworks.com; 'NOC' <NOC@rageframeworks.com>; and request for VPN
access.(attach VPN access request form)

Software Prerequisites:
Install VIP Access

Please download & install VIP access for windows in the following link.
https://vip.symantec.com/

Once Rage id is created, network team will request for Credentials id of VIP access(highlighted) to
provide VPN access.

Install Cisco Anyconnect Client

a) Please install Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client application version 4.5 and above in
your machine.
VPN Connectivity:
Once the access has been created, network team will provide Rage ID and password. Connect to
VPN with the given credentials and below are the steps involved.

a. Enter hostname (Get from Project Team) of VPN respective to project and click on Connect.
Eg: Somerville.rageframeworks.com

b. Enter Rage ID and Password shared by Network team


c. Copy the security code from VIP access and enter the security code.

d. Respond to the alert by clicking accept


e. Once you accept, you will be able to connect with VPN

Note: If your codebase is present and DB server are available in different VPNs, user can able to get
access for both VPNs with the help of Rage system team.

E.g.: If the project code base is available at Pune VPN and database server is accessible only on
Somerville VPN, get access for both the VPNs with the help of Rage system team.

SVN Installation:
All the version of Tortoise SVN is available in below link

Issue faced:

While checking out code from Tortoise SVN, there are possibilities to get “Server unexpectedly closed
the connection” error as mentioned in the below screenshot.
Resolution:

1. Use http:// in SVN URL Instead


i.e. https:// https://subversion.rageframeworks.com/svn/demo/ use
http://subversion.rageframeworks.com/svn/demo/

Please install the required version of Tortoise SVN for retrieving code in your machine.
