GEOVIA INSITE
When planning a GEOVIA InSite™ deployment, you must give consideration to usage scenario: understanding which
components are used most heavily, and then derive an appropriate server configuration to meet those demands.

INSITE CONSISTS OF FIVE BASIC COMPONENTS:

• Client applications (DataManagement, Data Entry)
• InSite Application Server (IIS)
• InSite Integration Services (IIS)
• Database server (SQL Server)
• Reporting services (SSRS, SSAS)
Aside from the client application, the other four services can either reside on a single server, or more typically on several
dedicated servers. This provides a scalable, robust, and flexible way to scale InSite to support small and large installations.

The recommended server installation is a for a medium mine. You install

the server on three separate machines: a reporting and analysis server, a
database server, and an application server.
While it is possible to install InSite on only one server, the following
configuration is the minimum recommendation because all components
perform well under typical usage scenarios.

An example of a typical usage scenario is:
• 20 concurrent InSite web users
• 10 users of manual data entry
• Several users simultaneously executing ad-hoc reporting
InSite Application
• Integration load of up to 10,000 records per day
