11. Teaching and Learning Strategy

Teaching and learning will be via lecture, tutorial and practical. Students will also be
required to do their own self-study either through guided questions or mini project.

12. Synopsis

This course covers the introduction to reaction engineering basic concepts such as mole
balance, conversion, reactor sizing, rate laws and stoichiometry. In addition, students
will be exposed to theories and knowledge in isothermal and non isothermal reactor
design, collection and analysis of rate data. The topic also covers multiple reaction
conditions and heterogeneous reaction.
