PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Opposite is an example of a Raydoor Sliding Wall 3 panel dividing system (SW3). Its used here as a guide
to demonstrate the terminology and design considerations you will encounter when creating your own
Raydoor solution.

1 Opening height is determined by measuring from the finished floor to top of level track. The top of leveled track is where you
intend on screwing the track to, typically wood blocking. If surface mounting the tracks directly to the ceiling, make sure there is
adequate support above.

2 Opening width is determined by measuring from finished wall to finished wall. No jamb or wall treatment is provided or necessary
with Raydoor products.

Standard sized panels are perfect for new construction or installs where you intend to “build to fit” our system requirements.
Panels are offered in three widths and four heights and are available in most system applications. Only standard sized systems
are used with our QUICKSHIP program. See page 5 for standard sizes.

Custom sized panels are built to fit your specified opening dimensions. Using your opening dimensions, system and track
choice, we determine exactly how big to make your doors. Let us do the math.

3 Panel model refers to the construction and thickness of the panel. Model 225 and 225F are 2-1/4” thick and are generally used
for our larger sized systems. model 175 and 175F are 1-3/4“ thick and are generally used where panel sizes are smaller.
See page 3 for panel comparison details.

4 System configuration represents our family of systems which include: sliding, folding, pivoting, fixed and stacking. Choosing
a system configuration is THE primary design consideration when planning how you intend to use the space. For a complete
list of all systems see page 7.

3” Overlap is our convention any time a sliding panel overlaps another sliding panel. This is done to maintain an aesthic stile
and rail proportionality, and aids sound insulation and privacy by creating a larger barrier.

RGS™ technology is part of Raydoor’s patent pending family of innovations. It allows the user to open and close a multiple
panel system in one motion, through a system of hooks and stops mounted below the doors. This creates a telescoping motion
without the need for floor tracks.

5 Tracks are required for sliding and folding systems. They can be recessed or surface mounted to the ceiling or soffit. Wall
mount options are also available for single track sliding systems. Our other mounting options are brackets, guides or
hinges, as used in the fixed, rolling and pivoting systems. NO FLOOR TRACKS ARE NECESSARY for the operation of
all our basic systems offered; however they can be specified for added stability. See page 35 for more details.

6 Frames come in real wood veneer and high-quality laminate. On panel models 225 and 175, the stile and rails are offered
3” wide standard. Custom frames and rails are available in real-wood veneer model 225 only. See page 45 for finish options.

7 Core layers are typically 1/4” translucent acrylic or resin used for it’s strength and lightweight properties and are available
in multiple designs. 1/8” acrylic/resin is an option only offered in our model 175 line. Non-translucent cores are available in
1/4” real wood veneered or high-quality laminates, where no light transmission is desired. See page 46 for some core
layer options.

8 Lattice bars are 1-1/4” wide standard and match the frame finish. They are bonded to both sides of the panel.
Lattice designs are optional; but a selection of our kaliedescopic patterns can be chosen... or create your own.
See page 47 for more details.

* All custom sized panels must fall within one of the two
options above. Panels are priced according to template size.

Endless sizes
All custom sized door panels fall within one of eight template sizes. Templates have maximum width and height
dimensions and are used for pricing purposes and manufacturing. A custom panel size of 32-1/4” wide by 97”
high for example, would fall in the 3x10 template. If the height is reduced by one inch, a 3x8 template can
be used instead. Opening width and height, number of desired panels, and system type determine the
appropriate template size.
e.g. An opening of 135” wide by 90” tall could be specified in a number of ways, such as an SW3 4x8, SW4 3x8,
SB2 6x8 (floor channel required), SB3 4x8 to list a few.
* Note : maximum template size for our Model 175 panel design is 4x8. Maximum template for Model 175F design is 4x10.

hidden brackets (wall or ceiling mounted). Sliding rolling is ideal for situations
where a traditional overhead track would not work ( i.e. rooms with varying
ceilings/heights or obstructions ). Requires 12” overlap at the wall for stability.

Our pivot panels come in two variations. Pivoting Center has no visible
hardware and pivots within the opening reducing the maximum opening
by a few inches. Pivoting Offset has a discreet knuckle at the top and
bottom of the panel and pivots completely out of the opening depending
on clearance.

Folding Center systems are a flexible dividing solution for the occasional flex-space Panel models
requirement. Great for the extra conference room, event space, or guest room where
225, 225F, 175F
other means of ingress/egress are provided for. Folding panels come as hinged pairs
and can stack perpendicularly anywhere along a singular track. When folded, the
opening is about 95% clear. Each pair comes with a flush bolt to anchor the system
when in position and face mounted ring pulls on both sides. Use of an aluminum floor
track recommended for added stability in commercial applications.

Folding end systems are also flexible dividing solutions. The door closest to the wall
acts as a pivot door extending hinged panels from a fixed pivot point. When folded,
doors will be on one side of the track leaving maximum clearance on the other side,
the opening is about 95% clear. Each hinged pair comes with a flush bolt to anchor

Fixed panels are very versatile because they can be used in a series to create a
wall, room or as screens for added privacy to a particular area. The panel sits on
an aluminum “U” channel (surface mounted to the floor), and slots into an
overhead angle bracket allowing the panel to stand free from the wall if desired.
Each panel contains two blind levelers to help secure and level the door. Raydoor
also sells panels containing no hardware called Blank (BL) panels.

MOUNTING OPTIONS

Surface, Flush, Recess and Wall Mounting Options

Mounting options depend on the desired install aesthetic or structural limitations (as with post tension concrete ceilings, etc.)
Regardless of installation type, system height measurements are always from top of leveled track (may or may not coincide with
ceiling height). (Installers can place blocking in spaces between tracks and install fascia to minimize track visibility.)

FAQ’S

Q: How do I get a quote or pricing?

A: First factor how many openings you have, about what size the height and widths are and then determine what
type(s) of system(s) you would like to see to enclose them. Then select any finishes and upgrades you may want,
and submit your info to Raydoor via the contact form on our website: www.raydoor.com, email: info@raydoor.com,
fax: 646 -349 -1856, or call us at: 212-421-0641

Q: How do I purchase/order doors?

A: The first step is to obtain a formal quote from one of our sales representatives. To do so, you can send specifications
through the contact form on our website: www.raydoor.com, e-mail or fax.

Q: Do I buy directly from Raydoor? Do you have agents/reps/distributors?

A: You can purchase doors directly from us, and we also have distributor representatives in certain regions who
can provide service. Sending your inquiry/quote requests in via our on-line “contact us” forms will get you to the
appropriate representative based on your location and project needs more quickly.

Q: What is your lead time?

A: Custom orders take 70 calendar days (from point of returned signed shop drawings) plus shipping time.
Standard size Quickship systems leave our factory in 30 business days from the point of full payment. See
pg 49 for our Quickship program details.

Q: Where can you ship to?

A: Currently we ship all across North America, but can accomodate international shipping needs.

Q: How long does shipping take?

A: Local NYC shipping takes 1-3 days. All other national areas generally take 7-14 days depending on your location.
International deliveries vary based on customs and final destination.

Q: Does your company offer installation or do I hire an installer myself?

A: Raydoor does not install; however, we can recommend an installer for you since most of our national distributing
partners do install. In addition, installation of our product is fairly straightforward and we can coordinate with your
contractor to answer any questions. Installation manuals are provided to supplement our system drawings to help
contractors. Complex systems may be purchased and installed by an authorized Raydoor distributor.

Q: How thick are panels?

A: Panels are either 2-1/4” or 1-3/4” thick depending on the model you choose. See page 3 for panel details.

Q: How much do the panels weigh?

A: Panel weights vary according to core and lattice specifications. The following is an estimated range:
•Model 225 weighs approximately 2.5-3.5 lbs/per sq. ft..
•Model 175 weighs approximately 2.0-3.0 lbs/per sq. ft..
Our panels are always fully suspended without the use of a floor track except for pivots and fixed systems.

Q: Are there size limitations?

A: Yes, 48” is the maximum width per door for heights between 96” and 120”. A maximum width of 72” per door
for heights 96” or less. Doors exceeding 53” wide require the use of a 1/2” square aluminum floor channel and
door guide to help minimize flex. Floor channel is recessed flush to finished floor. See pg 4 for size details.

Q: What are the panel frames made of?

A: Frames are made from a pre-engineered medium density fiberboard (MDF) for added stability and finished in a
selection of high quality laminates or real wood veneers. Our MDF materials are made from recycled wood
products and new growth woods. We are also in the process of acquiring formaldehyde-free MDF materials.
See pg 45 for finish options.

Q: What are the flush panels made of?

A: Flush panels are made from a pre-engineered medium density fiberboard (MDF) and oriented strand board
(OSB) for added stability and finished in a selection of high quality laminates or real wood veneers. MDF and OSB
are made from recycled wood product and new growth woods.

Q: What is the core layer material (glazing layer)?

A: Acrylic/resin is used as our core layer and is available in varying levels of opacity and decorative options. We
also provide resin made from 50% recycled plastic upon request. Blank MDF core layers can also be used if
less light in the space is required.

Q: Can glass be used as an insert or core layer?

A: No. Resin is a lighter, more flexible material and is an important feature of the Raydoor design. There are many
variations of acrylic/resin to suit many design and technical criteria. “Scratch resistance,” “made from recycled
material” and “class A flame spread rating” are the most common requests and all are available options.

Q: What is the extent of sound insulation?

A: Sound transmission can vary depending on how a panel or system is installed. Our framed panels dampen
sound, however they are not soundproof. Depending on the thickness of the specified core, they are comparable
to glass. Our flush panels insulate sound better than our framed panels and are in the process of evaluation for an
official STC rating.

Q: How should the doors be cleaned?

A: A warm, damp cloth is recommended for basic cleaning of the acrylic/resin core layer. Naphta or Kerosene can
be used to remove grease or other hard to clean residue. All other non-resin/acrylic surfaces can be cleaned
with any general purpose, non-abrasive surface cleaner. Please refer to our cleaning instructions for other
products specific to resin/acrylic.

A: No, panels should not be subjected to constant direct moisture. They can be used as bathroom applications with
proper ventilation such as a bathroom door, etc.

Q: Do you send consultants to job sites?

A: No, your contractor can provide us with measurements to build your doors and the majority of our systems are
fairly easy to install.

was installed. See page 25-26 for more details, or call and ask for our new “build it yourself” Rayblocks.
