FREJA Win 6.2

FREJA Win 6.2 is the Relay Test Equipment software able to work with the new FREJA 400 series.
It is backwards compatible with FREJA 300 and FREJA 306.

PLEASE NOTE: FREJA Win 6.2 requires a certain firmware in your FREJA 400 test set.

FREJA Win 6.2 contains the following features/improvements for FREJA 400:

1) Installer.
- Implemented possibility to install FREJA Win in FREJA 400 mode or in FREJA 300 mode.
After the installation it is possible to change the mode from FREJA Win Control Center Configuration /
Options / Advanced Configuration.
- FREJA Win 6.2 doesn’t require anymore a previous version of FREJA Win installed on the PC.
- Installer is now compatible with Win8 OS (before it was: Win7 and Win XP).

2) FREJA Win Control Center (FCC) and Communication

- Implemented import of Custom Network Models (NML), It is available in the button “import NML” in the
configuration window of FCC
- Implemented possibility to start FREJA Win Off-Line for FREJA 403, FREJA 406 and FREJA 409.
- When running On-Line and several FREJAs are found on the network, FREJA Win shows now also the IP
Address of each FREJA, together with its serial number, for easier identification of the correct test set.
- Implemented an alternative Ethernet protocol with FREJAs to allow users to run with Firewall activated. We
should be able to run with most of firewalls activated now.
- Improved error handlings between FREJA and FREJA Win. There is no need to exit from FREJA Win when
FREJA returns an error or alarm.
- Improved communication speed between instruments and FREJA.

3) For all Instruments.

- Implemented possibility to drive the extra 2 Solid State Binary Outputs available in FREJA 400

- Implemented possibility to see the powers associated to the generated currents and voltages. For this
functionality there is a new button available on the button list.

- Implemented possibility to drive the battery simulator from FREJA Win. For this functionality there is
a new button available on the button list.

4) GENERAL instrument.
- Implemented the dynamic visualization of generated channels depending on FREJA model and/or voltage
channels converted into current channels.
- New report templates have been created for FREJA 403/406 and for FREJA 409.
- The different states in the sequencer can have a name now
- Improved graphic representation of waveforms, when GPS synchronization is used. Additional time delay is
shown, state names is shown.
- Improved max time control in sequencer considering the generation output of current channel and/or
converted channels.

5) DISTANCE instrument.
- Implemented Custom Network Model import (under FCC / Configuration / Import NML).
- Implemented two phase power system (railways) as default network model in the Configuration

- Fixed a math problem in ohm/phase representation with KN factor as complex number (angle not zero).

6) CURRENT instrument.
- Implemented possibility to enter a pre-fault time larger than 999 ms.

7) VOLTAGE instrument.
- Implemented possibility to enter a pre-fault time larger than 999 ms.
- Bettered the simulation of 2-phase faults: implemented simultaneous change of RMS and phase angle while
ramping, according to realistic network model.

8) AUTORECLOSE instrument.
- Improved max time control in sequencer considering the generation output of current channel.
- Fixed a problem with CT direction when setting the state as impedance state. It was inverted.

9) Auto300 instrument.
- Fixed a problem in FREJA Win 6.1 where Auto300 in FREJA 400 mode was starting instruments in FREJA
300 mode. Now all instruments are correctly started in FREJA 400 mode (if Auto300 is started in FREJA 400
mode).

10) Transient instrument.

- Improved graphic representation of waveforms, when GPS synchronization is used. Additional time delay is
shown, state names is shown.

11) Differential instrument.

- Implemented bias/delta reference graphs (templates) for Siemens 7UT and Schneider Micom P36x relays.
- Improved graphic layout for the Wizard
- Harmonics test: the report shows one decimal of harmonic percentage and not only the integer value.

From previous version, FREJA Win 6.1, only for FREJA 400 users:

1) Compatibility to previous FREJA 300 generation, FREJA 300 and FREJA 306.
Please notice that your FREJA must have FREJA LOCAL version “R06B”. This is available under:
C:\PETOOLS\FrejaWin\Frejawin\R06B and the download to FREJA must be done from FREJA Win
CONTROL CENTER

Improved performances of graphic viewer in the sequencer for FREJA 400 users

Compatibility to FREJA 409 to handle 10 channels

New power swing tab available for FREJA 400 users

From previous version, FREJA Win 6.0, only for FREJA 400 users:
1) Communication to FREJA 400 series through Ethernet port
2) Testing algorithms adapted to new hardware performances of FREJA 400 series
3) FREJA Win Differential: introduced possibility to create relay specific operate characteristics with “REL
“button
4) FREJA Win Transient: increased possibility to playout up to 10000 samples per channel, compared to
previously 2000 samples per channel.
This means the possibility to playout a 10 seconds long COMTRADE file, if recorded with 1 kHz sampling
frequency.
