Happy Flowers in all the pretty colours, the possibilities are endless! Hang
them in the garden, make a garland, use as coasters… I can’t wait to see!

You will need:


A 3mm hook
Cotton yarn suitable for a 3mm hook
Scissors
A needle for sewing in the ends

Yarn:
I have used Scheepjes Catona in the following shades:

101,280,385,514,238,222,518

UK terminology used (US in brackets) :


Magic/adjustable ring

Chain - ch

Slip stitch - sl st

Double crochet - dc (sc)

Treble crochet - tr (dc) 

Double treble crochet - dtr (tr)

Long double crochet (lgdc): Work as a normal double crochet, but worked more than one round
below, instead of in previous round. Keep yarn reasonably loose. Also known as a spike stitch.

BLO - back loop only

Measurement :
11.5cm across.

Change colours after each round.

Make an adjustable ring.

Round 1:
3ch (counts as 1tr here and throughout), 11tr in ring, join with sl st to 3ch.
Fasten off.

Round 2:

Join new yarn with sl st between any two tr, 3ch, 1tr in same sp, 2tr in each sp around, join with sl st to third
ch of initial 3ch.
Fasten off.

Round 3:
Join new yarn with sl st between any two sets of 2tr, 1ch (counts as 1dc), (1dc,1ch) in same sp, (2dc,1ch) in
each sp around, join with sl st to initial 1ch.
Fasten off.

Round 4:
Join new yarn with sl st in any space created between 2tr’s (Rnd 2), 3ch (counts as 1lgdc, 2ch), (1lgdc,2ch) in
each space around, join with sl st to first ch of initial 3ch.
Fasten off.

Round 5:
Join new yarn with sl st in any 2ch sp, *(3ch, 2dtr, 1ch, 2dtr, 3ch, sl st) in same sp, sl st into next 2ch sp; repeat
from * around, join with sl st to initial sl st.
Fasten off.

Round 6:
Join new yarn with a sl st in any 1ch sp, 1ch (counts as 1dc) *6ch, dc in 1ch sp: repeat * around, join with sl st
to initial 1ch.
Do not fasten off.

Round 7:
*11dc in 6ch sp, sl st into middle of dc (make sure hook goes through the “v” back and front) rep from *
around, join with sl st to initial sl st (Rnd 6).
Fasten off.

Round 8:
Join new yarn with a sl st in the middle of any dc (Round 6), *sl st into the BLO of each dc (11), sl st into the
middle of dc; repeat from * around, join with a sl st to initial sl st.
Fasten off.

Round 9:
Using new yarn, make a slip knot, pull loop through (from back to front) between any two tr from Rnd 1, sl st
around all 12tr.
Cut yarn, pull yarn through through loop to front of work, thread on to needle, sew through to back at base
of “v” of first sl st, sew in end to fasten.

Sew in ends x
