Before and After Greenwall 282 sq.

m
A company in Belgium, specialising in materials
technology opened a new head office in 2010 next to the
existing factory in Hoboken, Antwerp. This ultramodern
building was in sharp contrast with the 125 year old
factory. A Garsy® Greenwall was installed against the
façade of the old factory to camouflage an ugly wall and
to improve the view from the new headquarters. This
resulted not only in an aesthetic and soothing sight but it
also created living green on the entire site.

The total surface of the Greenwall is 282m² and it is

approximately 10m high. The Greenwall contains 7000
Luzula sylvatica plants. The whole project took up to 14
weeks and takes 4 days a year to maintain.
