• Flexible data transfer independent (Plant Connectivity) and LR Agent
of the machine type
The connection of machines, plants and systems is - SAP MM (Material Management)
Software framework LINERECORDER

made via the Connectivity Port (CP). via SAP ME

The CP is a combination of SAP PCo (Plant Connectivity) - SAP PP (Production Planning and Control) via SAP ME
and LINERECORDER Agent. Both programs are
- SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
connected via a high-speed interprocess communication
protocol. PCo < > EWM
The CP is a configurable, bidirectionally communicating - SAP RFC protocol
interface software. - SAP HANA
It records and handles process information from the PCo > SAP HANA http(s)
plants and transmits them to other systems (e.g. - Open Database Connectivity – ODBC
databases, ERP systems, MES); furthermore, it sends
- Open Data Protocol – ODATA
required information back to the plants.
- (REST) web service
The CP is mainly used to prepare connections to:
- Smart Observer Legend:
- SAP Business Suite via NetWeaver < > bidirectional data transfer
PCo < > ERP > unidirectional data transfer
SAP RFC protocol
Supported industry standards on
- Application-specific (ABAP) implementation

The CP supports a variety of protocols and enables bidirectional n-to-m networking of the components.
Diagnostic data of the sensor is transmitted to the HANA database and to SAP tools for analysis.
The image processing sensor sends images to an MES system for verification of the product quality.
Consumption data is sent to SAP for evaluation and to the PLC for controlling. The PLC transmits new parameters to the sensor.
Control data and parameters are sent to a control desk (MES).
