Dear Mr, Ms,

I’m Laurent from the south of the Netherlands. I‘m 34 years old with 10 years
of working experience in multiple data center and service provider Cisco based
environments, I’ve managed and built the biggest and most technologically
advanced telecom IP Backbone network in the Netherlands. I am a very goal
driven person and put a 100% or more into everything I do.

I’m a sports fanatic as well, my favourite pastime is snowboarding,

calisthenics or riding on a motorbike. I highly value a healthy work personal
life balance and believe in taking care of myself physically and mentally.I
also love to travel and last year’s December I’ve set out on a journey across
the globe with my girlfriend. During our journey we’ve decided that we want to
work and live in Australia and fully experience life and work in a different
country.

Since I’ve graduated I’ve worked for the two biggest telecom providers in the
Netherlands and Europe, Vodafone/Ericsson and KPN. The last 6 years I’ve
worked for Ericsson as a senior network engineer and architect for Vodafone, I
which is a global service provider.

Over the last six years I’ve designed, built, and implemented all major new
infrastructure for Vodafone, including completely new data center
environments, core location rebuilding, expansions, implementation of all new
equipment and technologies. Security and IP Technology implementations. I’ve
been the lead engineer in all major projects and a key player in the relation
between Ericsson and Vodafone. Next to the project work I also educated,
guided and reviewed all work done by the junior and medior engineers, local
and abroad.
I’m a very experienced engineer/architect and I’ve always worked with cutting
edge new technologies. The network we have in the Netherlands is very
progressive and usually ahead of competition in used technologies and
equipment, the Cisco based network is made up from primarily ASR9K and CRS
routers and Nexus 9K and 7K datacenter switches. I have an extensive knowledge
of both IOS-XR and NX-OS. I also have very thorough knowledge of a multitude
of network security products from multiple vendors, mainly juniper, fortinet
and checkpoint.

My added value for your company is my vast knowledge and experience in Service
Provider and telecom networking. One of my major skills is my helicopter view
of all parts that connect and inter work with each other in a huge network
that is spread out over multiple pops.
