advance for the land and the registration process will be completed in Jan 2012. Total
Project cost is Rs.264 lac out of which we will invest Rs.114 lac .Rest of the amount
Rs.150 Lac is to be financed by Bank .A detailed project report is attached herewith for
your perusal

SETTING UP OF SECOND UNIT FOR PRODUCTION OF AUTOMOTIVE
LAMINATED SAFETY WINDSCREEN GLASS :

M/s FRIENDS GLASS & GLAZING PRIVATE LIMITED is a company floated by some of the
experts in glass trade. The company is running its factory PLOT NO.14-15, NAND NAGAR
INDL.ESTATE, ALIGANJ ROAD, VILL.MAUHAKHERA GANJ, KASHIPUR,
UTTARAKHAND – since February 2007 to produce Automotive Toughened Glass .The
company running its operations profitably for the last 4 years and is planning to start new plant for
the production of Automotive Laminated Safety Windscreen Glass. The company has already
purchased an adjuscent industrial plot with a small building for this purpose.

We are presently producing Automotive Toughened Glass. Govt of India had made it mandatory in
Motor Vehicle Act whereby it is compulsory to use Automotive Laminated Safety windscreen Glass in
its front . It opened a huge market for Automotive Laminated Safety windscreen Glass and we are
planning to tap this market and hence decided to Start a new plant in an adjacent plot.As the
company has already a network of dealers for its automotive toughned glass , there is no extra effort
required to market the new product.

PROJECT COST AND FINANCING PATTERN:

Total Project Cost : 264 Lac

Promoter Contribution for the Project : 114 Lac

Term Loan From Bank :150 Lac

Addl. Working Capital Loan Required : 50 Lac

Promoter’s contribution for working capital is met through Internal Accrual of Profit .

Term Loan Repayment : By the time First EMI of proposed Loan start s , First Term Loan taken from
the bank will be fully repaid with a track record of timely payment till date . All these years the
company was able to repay the loan in time from its operations and revenue from new project
together with revenue from existing project will make it easy for the management to repay the
proposed loan.

The company is providing both existing and proposed factory as security for the loan and also all
the machinery , stock and receivables are given as security in addition to the personal guarantee
given by the promoters of the company.

INDUSTRY OUTLOOK :
The Automobile industry showing a very high growth for the last several years. This resulted in increased
demand for Automotive Toughened and Laminated Safety windscreen Glass. As more and more

 companies are coming out with new models and are installing Laminated Safety Windscreen Glass in
their vehicles , the demand increases for such glasses. Earlier the companies are depended on
Toughened glass manufacturers for their automotive glass. As per motor vehicle Act, Windscreen Glass
should be Automotive Laminated Safety windscreen Glass and Indian Govt had made it mandatory .
As the old plants are not able to produce such high quality glasses for these new generation vehicles ,
the companies source it from imports initially and later on from a few companies who have these
automotive plants. Thus presently there are about 4 companies are having the facility for production of
automotive glass and three of them are catering the OEM Market. Hardly one company is concentrating
In the replacement market. We are here to fill the demand supply gap in this replacement market . So
the market is very wide and is growing daily .

SIZE OF THE MARKET

The Size of Automotive Toughened and Laminated Safety windscreen Glass is approx. 1200 Crore in
India including OEM Sector. Biggest glass company in India Asahi was having a turnover of 848 crore,
saint gobin – 180crore rest of the market is supported by remaining manufacturers.

We adopt the latest packaging techniques so that our

products are delivered completely defect & scratch free
during transit. We pack our range of safety glasses, glass
bowl sinks, wash basins and other heat treated glasses using
cotton & other materials in durable quality double wall
corrugated containers.

OUR STRENGTH

1. Existing Market –

We have a network of more than 400 dealers for the sale of Automotive glass all over
india. Our New Product Automotive Laminated Safety windscreen Glass also can be
marketed through this network . Hence there is not much effort is needed to market
the product and from day one sale will start .

2. Experienced management :

All the promoters are experienced in their line of business and are well aware of all
areas of production , marketing ,finance . Managerial experience of existing directors
are well known as they are running the company since 2007. And one of the new
promoter is running a Glass trading firm for the last 15 years and another new
promoter has more than 15 years experience in marketing of Glass .

3. Latest Technology :
Laminated Windshield is mandatory for vehicles and we are using latest and
timetested Indian technology.

4. Track Record:

Since inception of the company we maintained profitability of the company till date
and our repayment of Loan was regular. And First Term loan will be repaid by August
2011 , i.e., as per our commitment given to the bank at the time of disbursal of loan.
Our New Plant will start operation in April 2011 and repayment of proposed loan will
start in august only . Thus our revenue will be almost double and loan EMI will almost
same as before .This way we are in a very comfortable zone .

Also when we start first plant , all promoters are new to business , though experience
in glass industry as employees, we made it sure that company runs profitably and
banking operations perfect . AT the time of second plant we all are more experienced
and the new promoters are also experienced persons from glass industry itself.

Weekness

As per our knowledge there is not any major weekness . But frequent changes in the
countries legal framework may create some problems but these can be met without much
effort.

Automotive Toughened and Laminated Safety

Glass
We supply an exclusive range of automotive curved and bend
glass which is widely used in passenger buses and related
transport vehicle. We offer wide range of curved glasses which
are made up of toughened. These are also applicable in trucks
and other HMV. Made from superior glass, our range of coach
windscreen is available for models from various automobile
company.

Automotive Flat Toughened Glass

Toughened Glass is needed where there is a risk of serious
injury from falling into or breaking of glass. It is 5 times stronger
than standard glass and when it breaks it shatters into tiny pieces.

It is manufactured by heating up flat glass to a temperature of

around 700° C and then blowing air on to its surface, quenching it
down swiftly and uniformly. It can be divided into two types
depending on the degree of heat treatment; Heat- Strengthened
Glass or Tempered Glass.

Bus Glass

In India we are using Front Windscreen Glass (Toughened and
Laminated Both), which is as per MOTOR VEHICLE ACT, Windscreen
Glass should be Laminated Safety Glass and Indian Govt. has made it
mandatory.

Our Laminated Safety Glass Plant is fit for Bent and Flat Laminated for
all Car’s and jeep’s Windscreen, as per the requirement of various car
