Wage Schedule

Signing Bonus

Employees employed at the date of ratification of this agreement shall receive a one-
time signing bonus as follows:

Employees who average 30 hours per week or greater: $400

Employees who average less than 30 hours per week: $300

Average hours will be determined by taking the average of hours worked in the 13
weeks immediately preceding the ratification date; this average will exclude weeks
where no hours were worked due to vacation or approved leave of absences.

Special Adjustment - Pump Attendant

Add a 28, 32 and 36 months scale steps to the existing wage schedule.

These new scale steps would be as follows:

This is an additional increase above the previous 2% proposed to ensure the current
wage gap does not widen during the term of this agreement between these classification
steps and those of the first classification listed on page 30 of the collective agreement,
being Clerk Cashier, Stock Clerk, Produce Clerk, File Maintenance, Meat Wrapper,
Pharmacy Assistant. Retroactivity will be paid.
General Increases (other than Second Tier):

Year 1 (effective August 26, 2017): 2% all steps and scales (including Pump
Attendant and Senior Pump Attendant, as outlined above).

Year 2 (effective August 25, 2018): 2% all steps and scales

Year 3 (effective August 31, 2019): 2% all steps and scales

Year 4 (effective August 29, 2020): 2% all steps and scales

Retroactivity on wages will be paid following ratification of this agreement.

Second Tier Top Rate Premium

Effective date of ratification of this agreement:

Add a premium, called the Top Rate Premium, to employees hired into the second tier
classification as follows:

The premium will be $1.00 per hour.

How people earn this premium:

1. Only apply to employees in the second tier scale.

2. Employee must be at the 48 month rate prior to receiving this premium

3. A maximum of 25% of all employees on the second tier will be paid this
premium. Ex. If there are a total of 20 second tier employees, 5 employees (as long as
they are paid at the 48 month rate) will be paid the top rate premium.

4. If there are more than 25% of second tier employees at the 48 month rate,
eligibility will be determined by seniority as required.
 Pharmacy Technician

- Retitle current Pharmacy Technician wage schedule to be Pharmacy Assistant; all

employees currently in this classification will have their titles changed to Pharmacy
Assistant.

- Delete the current Pharmacy Assistant wage schedule.

- Identify that the Pharmacy Technician Classification is a certified position as protected

by the Pharmacy Act, using the following language:

As per the Pharmacy Act, an employee must be properly certified in order to work
as a Pharmacy Technician. It is at the Co-operative’s discretion to create and fill
Pharmacy Technician positions, based on their operational needs; an employee
completing their Pharmacy Technician certification does not create a new
Pharmacy Technician position at the Co-operative by default.

- Create a new Pharmacy Technician wage schedule as follows, effective the date of
ratification. Year 1 and Year 2 general percentage increases shall not apply to this new
classification, nor shall retroactivity.
