2.0 Items discussed

2.1 Discussion on applicable structural codes and design standards
with Manish Gupta / RNG (via conference call):
Manish Gupta confirmed the following:
- Environmental Clearance was obtained in 2013. Note
- Building was sanctioned on 21/04/2015. Note
- The codes applicable during the approval process are to be followed Note
for the current design, given that the design for the building is safe
and sound.
- As per the authority requirement, 35% of the project should be Note

completed within 5 years of the sanctioned date.
- It was agreed that flat slabs with drop panels should be avoided in Note
all areas.
- At the time of completion, The Structural Engineers will need to Note
provide a Certificate that the building has been designed and
constructed as per the codes applicable at the time of approval.
Conclusion on Structural Codes: The building is to be designed as
per the previous codes (latest codes as of 2015).
Note: MEP and Fire design to follow latest revised codes. Note
Action: Manish Gupta to share the structural stability certificate, MG (RNG) 04-05-18
which is a 1 page DBR stating the design philosophy i.e. the codes to
be followed for the design. (Note: no Structural or MEP drawings were
submitted during the approval process).

Review of Base - Structural Design Basis Report and

confirmation of way forward:
- PI comments and draft response were discussed and majority of Note
2.2 points clarified.
- Applicable structural codes will be listed as agreed under Point 2.1. Note
Action: Base to provide final detailed response to PI comments. Base (BE) 07-05-18

2.2.1 Other Structural Points discussed:

a. It was discussed whether the Retail and the Basement slabs Note
could be PT band beams with Conventional RC slabs instead
of all conventional RC beam and slab, which is the preferred
option for the architect.
It was confirmed to proceed with PT Beams and RC Slabs for BE asap
the Retail Floors (GF – L3) and PT Slab and Beams for the
Basements.
b. The basement slab has some sunken area, which the DPA asap
architect need to highlight and share the drawings for co-
ordination.
c. The pour strips along the secant piles need to be shown in the BE asap
structural drawings.
d. The banded beams of dimension 2000x650 in the foundation BE asap
to be reviewed.
e. The waterproofing scheme and the profile along the shore DPA/BE/PI asap
piles and the foundation to be discussed and finalized.

Review and confirmation of Foundation Design Strategy and way

forward:
- It was confirmed again to proceed with a Piled Raft under the Tower Note
areas and that the connection between the Tower and Non-Tower
areas will be done with a shrinkage strip.
Actions:
- CENGRS to receive confirmation from Client to proceed with the BW/H&H 04-05-18
2.3
Plaxis analysis.
- CENGRS to advise Base what information they require for BASE to CENGRS/BE asap
perform the Plaxis analysis.
- Cengrs to perform the Plaxis analysis to provide the zoned spring CENGRS asap
constant for the raft and the Pile stiffness, which will be done within 2
weeks.
