R/ the tone of this text is ironic because, ask for something when he don’t give

nothing. In our society exist a lot problem about machismo, and this text give an

example of machismo thinking.

2. Point out the irony in the essay

R/ the irony in the essay is that he ask for a perfect wife who ask him to do and

be better for him, but he does not say at any time that he will be a perfect

husband.

3. Explain the use of the rhetorical device anaphora in this essay.

R/ the rhetorical part of the essay is when he mentions his wife and mentions all

the good things he wants from her, practically a perfect woman.

4. Find the logos in this essay.

R/ the logic of the essay is about that the husband asks for, which is commonly

the case in society these nowadays.

5. How does the author successfully get the reader emotionally involved in this

essay?

R/ it involves it in the way that at the moment of reading you compare the text

with real life or situations that you know.

-Write a parody of “I want a wife” using another occupation or situation in life to

replace the word “wife”

I want a brother

Always dream with a perfect brother, my mother give me a brother a good brother

but I dream with a brother that give all thing that I need. I want a brother who will

take care of my physical needs, I want a brother who will keep my bedroom want

a brother who will keep my clothes clean. I want a brother who cook for me, a

brother who is cook very well, I want a brother who will care for me when I am

sick and sympathize with my pain and loss of time from school. I want a wife who

will listen to me when I feel the need to explain a rather difficult point while I am

stress.

I want a brother who will take care of details of my social life. When I invited my

friends in my house I want a brother who will attend my friends and me very well

and prepared special meal. I want a brother who will bought a car for me and

give money for main the car. I want a brother who will make my homework and

give me guide of study, I want a brother who will go with me to the spa and waiting

for me, I want a brother who will very patient with me, I want a brother who will
go with me of shopping, I want a perfect brother, I want a brother who will clean

the house and help me in clean a house, I want a brother who will give me money

when I need buy a cloth or other things, but the problem is that I have a brother

who is perfect for me, something we have a lot problems and discussion but is

my prefect brother, I give thanks of my mother for give me a brother that is so

beautiful with me, I cannot give more in the life I have a beautiful family and

brother.
