1. Importing 3D Models in Blender

By default Blender can import several 3D file formats: .dae, .3ds, .fbx, .bhv, .ply,
.obj, .x3d/.wrl and .svg. Latest Blender versions can import some other formats.
Search over the internet for what solutions you can have when using Blender.
For Sketchup files and autocad (.dwg) format, we need first to convert in a format
that can be imported by Blender (the above mentioned formats).
If you have the models in Sketchup Pro you can export in Blender in .obj or .3ds,
.dae format. If you have AutoCAD you can try export the model in .obj or .3ds. to
properly import in Blender. Even better if you have 3D Studio Max installed you
can convert your models into .obj or .3ds with no problems.
You might need plugin export/import extensions for Sketchup, AutoCAD, Blender,
3D Studio Max to be able to import and export some other 3D formats.

In our case the key format is .obj:

Sketchup Pro (.skp) -> .obj .dae -> Blender (.blend) -> .obj -> InnoPlanner (.obj)
AutoCAD (.dwg) -> .obj -> Blender (.blend) -> .obj -> InnoPlanner (.obj)
3D Studio Max (.max) -> .obj -> Blender (.blend) -> .obj -> InnoPlanner (.obj)

Your main concern is how to take your models from your initial format into .obj
format or something that can accommodate in Blender.
NOTE: It is recommended that when you export into .obj either being directly
done for InnoPlanner or Blender, try to preserve the UV materials and the mesh
structure into triangle. This can be done easily through 3D Studio Max.

Export with Blender for InnoPlanner

a. Click “File”
b. Go to “Import”
c. Select Wavefront (.obj)
d. Select “Forward” and “Up” to orient (turn) the 3D model while you import.
We assume that you managed to import your model in Blender. Either coming
from AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3D Studio Max or any other CAD software, now you
have a Blender version of the 3D model.

2. 3D Model XYZ Orientation

The 3D model can be already oriented the right way (s.a. not upside down) from
the beginning. If not, you can orient xyz the 3D model in any stage of your import.
You can orient you 3D model in Blender or InnoPlanner.

In Blender, you can orient (turn) the xyz of the 3D model while you export further
in .obj for InnoPlanner.
Recommended Import OBJ Preset in Blender:
a. Click “File”
b. Go to “Export”
c. Select Wavefront (.obj)
d. Select your needed “Forward” and “Up” orientation (to turn the model)
e. Check “Include UVs” if you have materials on your 3D model
f. Check “Triagulate Faces” to turn your 3D model from polygonal to triangle
faces
