THE EAST SIDE?

ROOSEVELT ISLAND BIKE RAMP AND EAST SIDE BIKE LANE PROMENADE
In June 2018, Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) procured Dewberry Engineers and
their team including Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects to design the Bike ramp and East Side
Bike Lane project.

This project aims to construct a bike ramp connecting bicyclists from the top of the Roosevelt
Island Bridge down to the East Promenade and provide a safe path for bicyclists along the eastern
waterfront of the Roosevelt Island away from the main street vehicular traffic. The total budget for
this project is approx. $14M with a project schedule of 4 years.

We’re sorry we missed you on our Walk and Talk on November 10th, 2018. We are just wrapping
up our existing conditions study and beginning the design process and we would love to hear from
you!
