PRESSURE DROP CALCULATIONS

The overall static pressure drop while flowing the hot fluid from the waste heat recovery unit to the dryer,
hot air generator we will calculate the pressure along with the temperature drop(by takiong the volume to be constant).

Basis:
The flow of hot air will be = 10000 nm3/Hr

density of flow gas at 330' C = 1.11 kg/m3

Mass flow rate= 11100 Kg/Hr
3.083333 Kg/Sec

diameter of the duct = 700 mm Area of crossection= 0.384773

0.7 M Velocity of flow = 25989.38
length of the duct = 150 M 7.219273

The total pressure drop is given by;

Δp = ΔPf + ΔPl+ ΔPa + Δpe

where;
ΔPf : friction pressure drop
ΔPl : Local pressure drop
ΔPa : Acceleration pressure drop
ΔPe: Elevation pressure drop

Frictional pressure drop:

ΔPf = 2fρV2L/D Re= 46744.793640687
ΔPf = 133.20696129 f= 0.0053727147 (Refer to Pg:6-10 in Perry)
local pressure drop :
ΔPl = kW2/(2ρA2)
ΔPl = 2.8925437165
Acceleration pressure drop:
ΔPa = (1-Ar2)*W2*Ф/(2*A02*ρl)
0.9449087098
Pressuree drop in bends and due to elevation:
Δpe= ρ*g*(L1*cosΘ1+L2cosΘ2+L3cosΘ3+L4cosΘ4+L5)cosΘ5)
1133.970466

Total pressure drop = 1271.0148798 Kg/M2
