Instruction To All Students:

1) Group work (4-5 students)

2) Prepare a summary MAXIMUM of 15 pages (exclude back and front cover and
attachment) with Font 12, Times New Roman and 1.15 spacing.
3) Submission date will be 18th October 2018, Thursday through email and 1 hard
copy to lecture.
4) Your report shall be saved in format or title : GROUP NO_PROJECT 1 BAA3513. For
example GROUP 2_PROJECT 1 BAA3513

Task:

1. You are required to find a site investigation report which reported the construction or
development of project in Malaysia within the last ten years.
2. Based on the report obtain, arrange and conduct Interview with a qualified person
(Civil Engineer / Site Engineer) to discuss the method of conducting site
investigation.
3. The interview must highlight important items such as the objective of the
investigation, method to execute field exploration (boring, sampling and in situ test)
and laboratory tests involved during the investigation.
4. The interview must also discuss items shown in a bore log sheet (please make sure
that you know how to read a bore log sheet).
5. According to the information obtained from the interview, write a summary to explain
all the important items that usually been included in site investigation report of a
project.
6. Please attach the following items with the summary
1) A copy of the site investigation report
2) Business card of the qualified person which the interview is conducted.
