GALAPAGOS ISLAND

INTRODUCTION

The present test will be carried out in order to make known one of the great
wonders of the world, which is Galapagos Island, so it will focus on the qualities and
wonders that this island has, as well as its climate, diversity, and where it is located.
These Galapagos Islands are well known for their rich diversity worldwide,
and also remain as natural reserves that are kept under the protection of environmental
authorities.
Thanks to the rich diversity of this island, there has been a great evolution of
flora and fauna that over the years have attracted the attention of all tourists and
authorities of the world.
Also, in this the different species that live in it predominate, in what can be
recognized that it is the beauty of these animals that over time has helped to attract
tourism and recognize them as one of the wonders of the world.
As far as talking about the Galapagos Islands is concerned, it must be known
that this natural reserve has really evolved over thousands of years, and it is a place that
does not lack species or tourism since its natural beauty attracts the human species of
other continents to recreate with this nature and in turn to take photographs in the
beautiful landscapes.
The Galapagos Islands belong to the archipelago and were declared National
and Ecological Park, in which they were recognized as "Natural Patrimony of
Humanity". And along with these events that were implemented were created terrestrial
ecosystems and marine reserves that connect with the various States through different
routes.
In this natural reserve it connects with the Pacific Ocean and part of the Indo-
Pacific, in which you can find a number of marine species, such as: turtles and whales.

To start talking about the Galapagos Islands, it can be argued that this territory
consists of countless animals of all species, and that thanks to its temperate and warm
climate you can find amazing animals.
In the coastal regions, the Galapagos Islands can be recognized as a zoo that
can be used for sea, air, mammal and land animals, as they can be: iguanas, penguins,
the frigate, lava lizards. And they can also be classified as reptiles.
As stated in (SUN WIND TRAVEL, s.f.), the following about the Galapagos
Islands:
“Las Islas Galápagos se encuentra localizada en los extremos de la línea
equinoccial, cuenta con aproximadamente 970 km. (600 millas) al oeste del
Ecuador continental. Se ha formado por tres islas mayores, seis islas menores, 42
islotes y muchas rocas, que cubren una superficie de 7,850 km2. La isla mas
grande es la Isabela, con una superficie de 4,590 km2, que también tiene el
punto más alto del archipiélago, el Volcán Wolf, con 1,690 metros snm. El 97%
de la superficie total de las islas es parte del Parque Nacional Galápagos, el resto
corresponde a las áreas habitadas y de cultivos de las Islas Santa Cruz, San
Cristóbal, Isabela y Floreana, además de la Isla Baltra, ocupada en sus totales
por las Fuerzas Armadas Baquerizo Moreno, en la Isla San Cristóbal. Puerto
Ayora, en la Isla Santa Cruz, es la ciudad con mayor movimiento turístico. La
población total de las islas, incluida la población flotante, es de 16,109
habitantes.”

Estas Islas son muy famosas por la naturaleza que posee, que tal como se ha
mencionado anteriormente estas establecen conexión con tres corrientes oceánicas que
es por medio de quienes se involucran todas estas naturalezas a este archipiélago.

Sobre el mundo marino en la isla existen altos niveles de endemismo, de lo cual


podemos contemplar que de esto cada cuatro especies de esta isla es única.

Los pingüinos que habitan en la Isla se encuentran en los manglares nadando


junto con diversas clases de peces de diferentes colores, en cuanto las ballenas y
tiburones circulan en las aguas las profundas.
