Personal SWOT

Personal SWOT background:


Within the next six months, the organizational structure of the Department of Defense installation
where I work will be going through a complete re-structure. The new structure will cause an
integration of organizations that perform similar activities. The effort is to streamline the
organizations for better communication and more efficient performance. Based on the re-structure,
the number of personnel assigned to me will be significantly increased and I will be given more
authority and more responsibilities. These changes will make my job more demanding. My
personal SWOT is based on effect the upcoming job change which will have on my current career
and my motivation to possibly change my career path.
Some of the *attributes listed in my personal SWOT are derived from a source as referenced
below.

STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
Highly-motivated with knowledge and experience Can improve communication skills
Expert-level analytical and critical thinking skills Need to be more assertive in certain situations
Subject matter expert with experience in training Procrastinate on certain projects
Project management experience with diverse Too detail-oriented for some projects which
(experience level) professional teams have caused delays in delivering outcomes
Problem solving, root cause analysis and cost- Sometimes I don’t display passion about my
benefit analysis skills work

OPPORTUNITIES THREATS
Changes will force improvement in leadership Probability of increase in the number
