How to primary beam is rested on secondary beam how to define in staad pro..

As STAAD creates discrete finite element Analytical members You can add your secondary
beam over primary by splitting your primary beam and assign PMEMBER to convert splitted
member into Again Physical Member.

So could you advise to me about mesh beam and plate also in the Staad. Pro-V8i?

Ans. could you plz send your beam specification and plate for meshing and also boundary
condition and load.

AS A DESIGNER SIR WHY YOU DID NOT CONSIDER LOAD COMBINATION ?

How can we see that the structure is safe for construction ..means details study of structure and if
structure is not safe then how to change the size of column and beam...because in building there
is not a same kind of column and beam...pls explain this

Ans when we go in report then if any member comes as fail then the structure is not safe and in
such a situation we have to do modifications in design like changing if size of beam n columns.

But how consider a staircase load in multy story building.

Ans U have to creat seprate load case for staircase which will be included in the building

i really want to know that how can we design the share walls for Elevator, leaving space for
DUCT and Staircase in RCC Multistoried Building Design, i search a lot but couldn't find.
Staircase Plates

could've just switched the orientation of the plates using the plate reference point command and
it will switch the local axis and hence the load direction automatically rather than having more
load items to process. Besides, the plates are not connected properly since the mesh size is not
the same which is an inaccurate modelling practice.

Want to know how to apply staircase load on beams. In this staircase video you have shown only
about waist slab, what about the Tread & Risers load. Kindly Explain. Regards Misk

Very nicely done and explained. However, I would suggest vertical loading forces instead of
Inclined loading forces. They are more reasonable because gravitational forces are always
vertically downwards

i have two questions . 1)when you specify section for beams in RCC monolithic slab/beam
construction do you enter sections as flanged or rectange? 2)to have a maximum effect, loads
in continuous beams should be such that the panels should have alternating loads e,g even
panels to have dead and live loads and odd panels to have dead loads only. how can you apply
this alternating loads in slabs so as to be transferred in continuous beams accordingly?

Q wrong loading! what about the loads coming from tread and risers??? and how the support
beams will be designed?

Ans> dead load can easily be worked. Live load can be 3 or 4 depending upon the utility of
staircase. And one can apply support only at those location where a beam or wall support is
present. In your case, there is support at intermediate point as well.

1) how can i design the Flat slab in multistorey Building, how v can merge the columns in Flat
slab. 2) Can ve design the Drop Columns and Raft Foundation as well in Staad pro vi8.
What is the simple way to create the surface panel??? i have to design the G+32 building having 8 shear walls. Means 9*32= 288
panels. Pls Guide. Thank You.
Simple way is to create one surface of one floor using add surface command on the particular
panel and repeat it on the remaining floor by this way your time of creating panels is reduced
and shear wall panels are made easily
on oil and gas related structure like sleepers, precast foundation also.
