Math lesson in shapes.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? The lesson it was for the student to know the 2D shapes
Where did the lesson take place? it is a shapes lesson and it will help them to know the shapes forms
and sizes.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? I was achieving to teach the students new shapes and
to know the form of them.
What did the students do? The students was telling me shapes they know and drawing some shapes
they know already or learn in that lesson.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? The students enjoy the lesson in the
way I teach them because at the begging of the lesson I play for them a song and they enjoy when they
move and dance while they are listening to the song.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
Some of the students know the shapes already in Arabic and some of them know them in English but at
the end the lesson most of the students know the shapes and how they can draw them.
How well did you engage the students?
I engage the students with a song.

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

The lesson was understandable and the students enjoy the lesson so much and the activates too.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
The lesson went well and the only mistake I made that it was a spilling mistake in the PowerPoint other
than that everything went well.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I have to look up to my stuff and chick my PowerPoint and my spelling before I do my lesson with the
students.
