Maritime Transportation Security Act.

Department, primarily responsible for Members from the Great Lakes states.

ELECTION 2000 1/00-1/01

• As part of the Bush/Cheney Presidential Transition, managed administrative needs of the 70-person transition policy
office and perfonned executive assistant duties for the Deputy Director of Policy. Also initially directed administrative
tasks in establishing the McLean, VA office, including setting up the building and visitor access process.
• As a Bush/Cheney 1000 Advance Representative, provided logistical support to the Vice President, traveling staff and
national press corps as a full-time staff member of a permanent advance team. Tasks included negotiating with vendors
and hosts, working with local political staff and volunteers to raise crowds, and securing and preparing hotel/event sites.
• During the Republican National Convention as Assistant Transportation Director, established and oversaw motor pool for
250 campaign and convention VIPs, staff and family including selecting, training and managing over 200 volunteers.
• As the Assistant Finance Director for Cantor for Congress, scheduled, organized and manned all district fundraising
events and assisted in soliciting, collecting and tracking contributions.
• As the Assistant to the Executive Director for Bush for President Ohio, organized and directed volunteer activities in the
Columbus headquarters office and managed Cleveland area phone bank operations, including establishing a viable site,
recruiting volunteer staff, and coordinating efforts of grassroots constituent organizations.
