Abstract – Bintuni basin is located in south west bird head region of west papua at bintuni bay, this basin known as
well as giant oil and gas field (Decker et al,2009). Related to three major tectonic plate Eurasia, Pasific, and Indo-
Australia (Hall 2011). Stratigraphic order in the region showing ages from Permian to most Tertiary Bintuni basin
controlled by two major tectonic event subsidence when Australian continent candidate part of bird head separated
and derived from south to the north at Late Jura – Late Creataceous (Decker et al,2009). This paper is discuss about
the correlatation of Geological Evolution of Bintuni Basin and Lengguru area with stratigraphy analysis based on
sequen stratigraphy basic theory divided by several system tracks to be conceived with a stratigraphy system track.
Miocene-Recent movement of (Lengguru Fault Belt) LFB located at south east Bintuni basin is the most controlled
deformation for impliocation about structural trap for hydrocarbon at Bintuni basin (Larry 2004) and as the
complement to the petroleum system involved the Mesozoic section.

INTRODUCTION

Bintuni basin is located in south west bird head region of

west papua at bintuni bay, this basin known as well as giant
