The following statements are based on the latest edition of the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1, and the “Supplement - Procedures specific to ISO” (The “ISO Supplement”).

Should a third such modification be required, it will be necessary to revise the standard, in other words to prepare a “Revision”, which requires a new project to be initiated
9 Technical Committees and Subcommittees may develop
International Standards, Technical Reports, Technical Specifications and Publicly Available Specifications, but may not develop Guides
10 A “Revision” of an International Standard is different from
what is known within ISO as a “Systematic Review”
11 There is no obligation on a host to provide social functions
during ISO meetings, and in general accredited delegates shall not be obliged to pay a fee as a condition of their participation in ISO meetings
12 The Press may not attend working sessions of ISO
meetings, but:
they may, if invited, attend opening and closing
plenaries, and press conferences and briefings may be held outside meeting sessions
13 Technical Reports (TR) have no limit to their lifetime.
