Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

- Do activity at the beginning of the lesson by choose two students then teacher will give example and
those students will act then, other students will say the result for example, Student 1 will have thing
such as, cubes then, teacher will say Sara have 5 cubes and Alia which is student 2 want 3 cubes from
the Sara how many cubes Sara will have and after that, students will say 2 after that, teacher will ask
the students which operation we use in those questions and through that students will know the
lesson will be about subtraction.

- Introduce the new vocabulary by explain example. (I do, you watch)

- Present some examples and explain how they can subtract three digits. (I do, you watch)

- Let the students to help me by ask them questions about the examples to understand. (I do, you

- Put some examples for the students to solve it on the board and I help them to answer. (you do I

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) (you do, I help)

- Teacher will model the activity by present it in the black board

- In the first activity each student in the groups will have color card with number and each group will
have one worksheet so, this worksheet will not include numbers but color squares and each
student with same color will fill the squares by put the number that she has it and when they will
have complete question or operation they will start answer the question after that, other students
in the group will fill the squares that include the same color they have it with the numbers and
answer then, they should check the answers together.

- Teacher will distribute the worksheets and cards for the groups.

- While the students do the activity teacher will walk around the groups to help and engage them.

Independent Experience (individual activity 2) (you do , I watch)

- Teacher will model the activity by present it in the black board

- Teacher will distribute the worksheets for students

- In the second activity there are three types of worksheets.

- High level students will have four subtraction operations in pictures with three rounds and they
should write the numbers in the squares and answer then, use the addition to check the answer.

- Middle level students will have three subtraction operation in pictures with two rounds and they
should write the numbers in the squares and answer then, use addition to check the answer.

- Low level students will have three ready questions to answer without any rounds then, use
addition to check the output

- At the end of the lesson teacher will give each student blank paper and present questions in the
black board then, let the students to choose any two questions to solve it then, use addition to
