Journal 2: E-learning multimedia applications: Towards an engineering of content creation. by M. D. A. Suarez, C. G. Artal & F. M. T. Hernandez

INTRODUCTION FINDINGS
Objective
Journal 1: To study the depth of e-learning implementation in engineering
education.
Journal 2: To improve the productivity and quality in teaching content creation for
e-learning.
Problem statement.
Journal 1: The implementation are not at the satisfactory level due to lack of
sufficient Infrastructural facilities and competent human resources.
Journal 2: Learning content are often taken from traditional notes and not created
specifically for e-learning.

METHODOLOGY
Journal 1:

Design of instruments
• Pre-test by 12 eminent ICT professional.
• Redesigned by elimination, reclassification and by inclusion of new fac-
tor.
• To gather information from faculty members about the existing use of
basic ICT tools in engineering classrooms and laboratories.

Survey questioners
• Gather information about the use of web-based training tools.
• Gather information from 80 faculty members (received 50 responses,
analysed 48).
• Respondents rate the current usage of ICT tools and e-learning tools
using 5-points rating.

Journal 2:

Suitability of content of e-learning

• Content validity
• Number of students who attend classroom training

Content analysis
• Meeting with lecturer
• Selection of lessons for multimedia format

Development
• Formal design
• Development of interactive application

Maintenance
• Interview with lecturers and students
• Questionnaires

RECOMMENDATIONS CONCLUSION
