SANGGUNIAN RESOLUTION NO. 2015-095

A RESOLUTION APPROVING BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 06-2015
OF BRGY. DEL PILAR, “AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE
CUTTING, DESTROYING, OR IMPAIRING OF PLANTED SHRUBS,
PALMS AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS ALONG THE PUBLIC ROADS OR
IN ANY PUBLIC GROUNDS OF BARANGAY DEL PILAR,
CABADBARAN CITY.

WHEREAS, presented to the Body for appropriate action is Brgy. Ord.

No. 06-2015 of Barangay Del Pilar, “An Ordinance prohibiting the cutting,
destroying, or impairing of planted shrubs, palms and ornamental plants along
the public roads or in any public grounds of Barangay Del Pilar, Cabadbaran
City;”

WHEREAS, said Barangay Ordinance had been referred to the Committee

on Barangay Affairs for further study, investigation and recommendation;

WHEREAS, the Committee conducted a Committee Hearing on June 4, 2015

at the SP Session Hall, this City, to evaluate the merit and substance of the said
Ordinance;

WHEREAS, the Committee on its study found that the subject ordinance is in
harmony with the following edicts, to wit: Article 10, Chapter 3 under Health and
Sanitation and Article 1, Chapter 8 under Environmental Quality and Protection, both
found in the Code of General Ordinances of Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte;

WHEREAS, the above-mentioned laws govern the maintenance of a clean and

beautiful environment and preservation of Mother Nature;

WHEREAS, after careful review of the provisions in the Barangay Ordinance

and after all the amendments were adopted by the Sangguniang Barangay, the
Committee found it meritorious and worthy of support thus recommended for
approval.

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 86th Regular

Session, to approve Barangay Ordinance No. 06-2015 of Barangay Del Pilar, “An
Ordinance prohibiting the cutting, destroying, or impairing of planted shrubs,
palms and ornamental plants along the public roads or in any public grounds of
Barangay Del Pilar, Cabadbaran City.”

RESOLVED FURTHER, to give a copy of this Resolution to the Council of

Barangay Del Pilar, this City thru Punong Barangay Judith P. Cueno for information
and guidance.
