•It is almost impossible for older people to learn new
things
•Most old people have no interest in or capacity for
sexual relations.
•In general, most old people are alike.
•Most old people are socially isolated and lonely.
The health and socio-economic startus of older people
will continue to decline a we move into the 21st century.
•Assess both the functional need and access to care of the
elderly
•Practice holistic approach in providing care
•Utilize appropriate communications
•Consider the elderly as a lifelong learner
•Be aware of their cultural ways and practices
•Lead t towards a productive life
•Promote exercise and health fitness activities
•Motivate the to engage in spiritual, socio-civic
activities/services
•Introduce development of hobbies and other
enjoyment of life activities
•Encourage to come up with their retirement plan
•Advocate for the promotion of healthy and
productive life among the elderly.
